In halo 4, like what the did with the Recon helmet in halo reach? sorry if this has been asked a million times.i checked out the gaming news, section at best buys website and they said that it was a pre order exclusive helmet

Microsoft has said that all Pre-Order bonuses may be available at a later date.

As far as anyone knows last I checked. the helmets aren’t exclusive, but the skin for them is. It sounds more feasible than stores having one special armor piece.

Isn’t the pre-order bonus just a skin for the Deadeye helmet? I was under the impression that the helmet itself would still be available for everybody in-game.

That’s is what I thought, but all the pre orders just say “Deadeye helmet” also at PAX when it was shown, there was only one version of it and it had the same skin as shown in the Pre order pictures.

So, this leads me to assume that there is only one iteration of the helmet, with no second skin.

Oh well, I pre ordered from Bestbuy, so I’ll get my grubby little hands on it.

-Yoink!-… I wish BS Angel would clarify on this issue. There’s been plenty of threads about this problem. If I knew how I’d personally ask myself for some clarification. This picture here is tricky. Locus Helmet bonus Says ‘Customiseable Locus Helmet’… which can either mean it IS the helmet or it’s the only Locus helmet with a skin to ‘customise’ it. Leaving a regular one for other players.

The skin you can easily get by pre-ordering it from that specific retailer. I’m guessing that the skin is specific for that helmet. So you might unlock the helmet with the skin.

EDIT: My reason to this is because when you see the armoury on the PAX Prime video’s from the community, you only see a skin for each helmet. Just like you do with the weapon skins.
