Has there been any word on whether or not the new Bandit rifle being added into the game will also be included in the campaign?

I’m hoping they can at least give us new content that was created for Multiplayer to be added to Campaign and Coop. I absolutely want to have access to the Falcon in Campaign once it becomes available.

Will it be in Ranked Arena? If so on which maps…
Pretty sure that it’s a safe bet the Bandit will be in Ranked yes. Can’t say which maps will have it just yet though.
I said same earlier about the Falcon, it would suck if they don’t get added to campaign, while were not getting any dlc anytime soon, the least that could be done is add things to campaign

I don’t think they’ll bother adding anything to the campaign as that’s not where the store and mtx are.
They’ve been all “biggest gain for least effort” the last year.

I’m hoping weapons and vehicles will be added to campaign. I understand not adding new equipment because you’d need to overhaul how equipment works in campaign, but weapons and vehicles should be fine.
Are they worried about throwing off balance in campaign? Well don’t worry! Do we like balance in the campaign, yes, but fun is more important than balance.

how will they add such content to the campaign? i thought 343 will continue on developing multiplayer content and ONLY for multiplayer. i thought some other gaming group will develop new campaign content? (including the sequels/DLCs of infinite)
Honestly, I never even considered the idea that the BT might be added to campaign

Would be cool, but I’m super doubtful lol. It’ll probably be in whatever replacement for Firefight we eventually get though?

I mean every adjusted weapon and vehicle also affected the campaign. I hope we can spawn the weapons in campaign too. However I doubt the shroud screen will appear.

I had been hoping it will be, but at this point it seems quite unlikely.
Think about the actual effort they would have to put in, and their track record for putting in that effort, even for features they PROMISE (couch co-op.)

I don’t think anything will be in the campaign, until they make a new campaign…within the next few years, if there ever is another one.
My guess would be it’ll be added in with the first campaign expansion, whenever that is.

That’s true, so in theory they could put it in. The easiest way would probably be to just add it to the random weapon spawn pool. I assume at least some of the weapon racks you encounter have random guns spawned. If not three grunt mules seem to have random guns.
I doubt it would get tagged on to the UNSC upgrade path though. It seems like it would take extra UI and campaign map changes that I’m just doubtful will happen lol
Might be slightly difficult to add it into campaign, or not.
They could have random Marines spawn with it, and possibly make a certain portion of world-spawn BRs and Commandos switch over to Bandits but I don’t know if they could automate that process or if they would have to hunt them all down manually.

If they have to hunt down random spawn points manually to add the Bandit to the pool and don’t feel like doing that, then the very least they could do is add the Bandit as an exclusive to FOB weapon boxes. They could do that for all new weapons and vehicles. Vehicles wouldn’t even need a Pelican animation to appear at the FOB after selecting it. The Falcon would just pop into existence on the FOB platform, with text saying “Falcon Delivered.”
I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult to implement. There’s those weapon boxes at FOBs where you can choose any weapon, and the assault rifle and sidekick are always available from them the moment you capture the first FOB (not Outpost Tremonius, the next one you capture shortly after). Surely they could just tack the DMR– err, Bandit on to thr end of that list with no unlock requirements? That way, they wouldn’t have to spend time trying to fit it into the Valour upgrade track.
Although, to be honest, whether it gets added or not makes little difference to me personally, because I’m just so un-excited about this gun. Still, I think it should be added. That way, if/when more actually interesting guns get added, there will be some sort of precedent to add those to the campaign.
