Split-screen is a massive feature for Halo as a whole, and it’s such a shame that it has never been really considered much. Yes, it was sent to the backlog at one point, but it was later taken off for some unknown reason. I understand that it may be somewhat difficult to implement it into PC, but it’s not impossible. We’ve seen modders do it before, and though it may not be the exact same thing as adding it to the base game, it still shows that it’s possible. The thing is though, is that this is a massive feature for quite a few players. Sure it may not be the most demanded feature for gamers who play Halo MCC, but it is still rather important, especially to the players who grew up playing Halo on the xbox. So the big question here is will they ever add Split-screen for Halo MCC on PC?
I’ve been advocating for and asking about it for the past 2 years. No one will give an answer. It was added to the backlog pending further discussion last year and has not been talked about since.
Maybe once Infinite is out the door 343 will be more open to the discussion and have more development resources available for MCC.
Honestly, I’d just like confirmation that it is still a consideration. It is frustrating to have to wait, but knowing that there will be people working on it eventually, even if not presently, is greater comfort than the suspicion that they have quietly scrapped it.
For now they are only working on mod support and more content for the exchange, but we need splitscreen on pc
Splitscreen on PC would be very helpful for testing mods
Very true especially for infection gamemodes and also good for having friends over to play Halo with you.
That would be a lot of fun! But I doubt that it will happen though, maybe with mods?
Its really sad that we are having to hope a mod will do something that was originally advertised for the PC port. Split screen is a huge part of Halo, and one of the reasons it became big in the first place!

Used it once and will never use it again. Don’t care how safe people say it is it does some sketchy $h17 and required a scrub to get rid of. Shouldn’t have to resort to such methods if 343 would just do their jobs
