Will Season Pass pay for Championship Bundle?

Just wondering seems like it should otherwise WTF!

I doubt it will, but it should. They shouldn’t call it a season pass if it doesn’t cover the season.

No.

Frankie said in the panel that the Season Pass was for the first 3 Map Packs.

You already got a good deal on those. This Map Pack is a stand alone pack.

It doesn’t.

The War Games Map Pass only gives you three Map Packs called Crimson, Majestic, and Castle, that were to be released in December, February, and April.

No where does it ever say that it will also give you more content that may be released later.

I’ve got to ask, did you even read what you were getting when/if you bought it?

> I doubt it will, but it should. They shouldn’t call it a season pass if it doesn’t cover the season.

It was never called the Season pass, atleast officialy.

It says that it includes the 3 map packs but it doesn’t say that it is limited to that. So by laws of contract those who have the War Games Pass( which this is still under) should be able to get the map pack for free along with all post release war games DLC or addons.

Nope.
Here let me show you:

Retailing for $24.99 USD2 (2,000 Microsoft Points), the “Halo 4” War Games Map Pass confirms your access to three War Games map packs as they become available in December, February and April, and represents a savings of more than 15 percent versus purchasing the packs individually. In addition, Map Pass purchasers will receive two bonus in-game helmets, as well as a unique in-game emblem.

Exploring new worlds and wonders, all three Map Packs provide classic “Halo” combat and exciting ways to experience the new feature-set of “Halo” Infinity Multiplayer. Descriptions and tentative release dates are as follows:

Crimson Map Pack (December release timeframe)

Maps: Wreckage, Harvest, Shatter

Description: Witness the chaos of a clash of civilizations in Wreckage, with its blend of claustrophobic spaces and dangerous exposures and venture into the human colony environs of Harvest, and explore a human foray on an alien moon in Shatter.

Majestic Map Pack (February release timeframe)

Maps: Landfall, Monolith, Skyline

Description: Landfall’s emphasis is on infantry battles against a glittering ocean on a distant world, while Monolith exposes you to the naked vacuum of space – and the firepower of opposing teams, and Skyline’s distinctly industrial feel provides new challenges in somewhat familiar, but occasionally confined spaces.

Castle Map Pack (April release timeframe)

Maps: Daybreak, Outcast, Perdition

Description: Daybreak is set in a military facility against the backdrop of an idyllic mountain range, while Outcast plunges you into the warrens, canyons and arches of an alien edifice, and Perdition takes players into the heart of an urban sprawl, with tactical speed and situational awareness its key features.

Also included in the “Halo 4” War Games Map Pass are two unique in-game helmets (‘Scanner’ and ‘Strider’) that feature new geometry, and an exclusive in-game emblem (‘Falcon’). The “Halo 4” War Games Map Pass is included as part of the Halo 4 Limited Edition.

So as you can see it clearly states it will grant ONLY 3 map packs, 2 armor sets and an emblem, it also states the names of the maps and release dates, and that is exactly what you got, so your laws of contract stuff dont apply, next time read what you are getting before purchasing, they never promised anything extra after the content that was LISTED as part of the war games pass.
They have no obligation to offer more free content for the pass as they already covered what was promised

They clearly said that the Map Pass would give you access to the first three map packs. Nowhere did they mention it covering any future DLC. Your logic seems to be that just because it doesn’t outright say “Limited to the first three map packs” it SHOULD include all future DLC. I’m sorry, but that isn’t how it works. 343i was very clear about what the Map Pass would cover, and not once did they ever imply it would cover anything more. The DLC, bundled together, is only 10$ USD. Can you really not afford that? Seriously?

I’m always under the impression that of they don’t say it’s free with the season pass when pricing is announced…then it’s not free with the season pass.

All things considered, the season pass gave you 2400 ms points’ worth of content for only 2000 as it was.

The bundle is actually 3 DLCs totalling close to 1000 ms points for the price of 800. It’s another good deal IMO.

The problem isn’t that i can’t afford the 800 Microsoft points, i just have a problem that the War Pass on the XBL market place doesn’t say it is excluded to the 3 maps it says they are included. I was pointing out an error that someone might get sued on. By forcing others to pay for something on an online or store purchased contract that says War Games Pass will give you the DLC for free that are under war games. It is technically a lie that could backfire for 343i. I am just pointing this out. Half the point in the thread.

Is this under war games, Yes

Is there a DLC that permits people to have DLC cheap, yes.

Does it clarify that future DLC under war games aren’t under the this DLC permit. No.

So under laws of Contract what is not written can be given for it is excluded. So it being free is fully possible if not has to be since it is under war games and the War Games pass doesn’t say that this isn’t allowed. Of course this could be easily countered with the argument that you all already know of.

You have no idea how laws work? Do you?

> You have no idea how laws work? Do you?

I know for sure that every American has a basic understanding of law for sure and we all know that what isn’t in a contract is validated by those own rules. If 343i wants people to pay well…they should alter that error.

Probably not as with the end of the video it lists 3 different packs.

The Championship pack might just be to buy all of them together for a bit cheaper but you can buy them separately.

(Or at least that’s what I’m thinking or has this already been stated?)

I sort of get people defending that the War Games Pass was only for the 3 previous map packs and that’s all well & good…but seeing how pretty much all of the LE content was eventually given out (you can even watch FUD on Netflix or Hulu now), how about we get thrown a Champ d/l, eh?

What error are you talking about?

Linky

As you can clearly see in the description it states,

> Content includes “Crimson, Majestic & Castle Map Packs” plus 2 in-game helmets and an emblem at a special value.

It says exactly the same on the console Marketplace.

If you can pull up a link which states that the Season Pass includes ALL future content, that would help your case.

But until then, you are just flat out wrong.

Netflix and Hulu aren’t free, you know that right?

Probably the shottiest logic yet. Thats like saying it’s ok punch someone just because they didn’t say i couldn’t.

Does it specifically say “Content released after the first three DLC will not be covered.”? No, but it does not have to be free. The developers never included it to be a part of the War Games Map Pass and they made it clear you would only be getting access to the first three map packs not only prior to Halo 4’s release, but also well after before the map packs had yet to arrive. Those who thought it would are at fault because they either chose to ignore or simply didn’t do their research and see that it specifically said the first three map packs, not all DLC.

Could be trolling, if not you’ve certainly got a very misguided understanding of the law and a heightened sense of self entitlement…
