Now, there is a possibility RT will continue to use Halo 4 for Season 15, but am I the only one hoping it’ll be in Halo 5? And if it is going to be in Halo 5, how do you feel about that?
On Topic: I think it should be filmed in Halo 5
Off Topic: RvB i think is a really funny TV show but i really, really wish they did not swear so much…like you don’t need to say the F word just put a beep in. Actually that would be pretty cool if they just put a beep in on all the words that are strong swear words.
Why would they film in a game that has no split screen and no system link support?
I hope they do, but it’s going to be a lot harder for them.

beeping swears on a show thats not very vulgar kind of demeens its use of said word. e.g. when church says summit like “i hate u guys” it isnt as impactfull as say “i f*****g hate you guys” it adds the spice to make the statement funny. also swears are good ways to exagerrate the dialouge to comedic effect and given the target age for the show it establishes a matture sense of humour, hell probs the most memorible jokes\qoutes dont have a single swear in them. i find its humor to be the perfect balance of well thought and crude… but that might just be me… soz for ranting .__.

^^^ exactamundo… they will need 10 consoles to just do the reds and blues…
Maybe not, probably have to do it on Halo 2 Anniversary engine to do a season 15.

Have you seen their setup? They have like 20 xbox ones up around the office.

+1^
And why would they not? Halo 5 reintroduces a variety of coloured chroma screens and houses a boat load of props, canvases, and building materials. They have way more to work with than any other halo game. The only outlier is there building skill…

Here’s why they might not do it:
- No Splitscreen
- No system link
- RNG armor unlock system that makes it take forever to get everybody’s armor pieces.
- Customization sucks
- They would have to build up all the maps they use.
- They can’t rip the halo 5 character models out the game for animation purposes(I don’t know if they do this but other halo animators did).
- They can more easily use 360 or Halo MCC to do what they want.So in short, it is extremely unlikely they will do it on Halo 5.
Here is why they should do it:
- Don’t need split screen because everyone in their office has a XB1
- ^
- 5 hours and bronze packs
- Got me there
- 343i maps or community, ask very nicely towards cartographers
- Chroma screens and animation software (bone mapping)
- Production quality, 30fps < 60fps

Not to mention the fact they have to unlock all the armor for each individual character before they start and who knows how long that’ll take, oh and they have to do it on every Xbox.
As Halo 5’s got no splitscreen, system link and theater is still broken. I don’t think RvB will be using Halo 5 for the series.

- But they specifically said they use it, and prefer it over separate xbox’s.
- ^
- It is not that quick and you do realise that right? Also, most of the armor they need, are ultra rare and above.
- Ok
- Got me with that one.\
- It is not that easy, especially if they have to recreate the models which would take quite a long time.
- Uh, that isn’t really a big deal and I’m sure most don’t care if the show is still good and they aren’t as restricted as they would be on Halo 5.
No, because of splitscreen, because they used splitscreen for RvB and because it would be difficult to recreate all their armors with the random req system.

It doesn’t matter if they ALL have xbox ones because look at the amount of random soliders in seasons 11-13, those are split-screeners, so yes split-screen is needed if they are to use extra characters, or background characters.

And seasoned accounts to have all armors unlocked!
No, they can’t use the same environments or the same armor combinations.
They would have to forsake everything they set up just for the sake of changing the game it’s filmed in, and we have seen with season 9 (reach) that they won’t do that, because they just went back to Halo 3 as a base for filming, mostly because the reach style was too different from what was previously established and while it gave them more custome map and design Options it wasn’t required for the established story at the time. They make these bi-weekly, so why make or change the environment instead of just using the maps out of the box? Saves time. They only used reach because it was perfect for the one time season where everything was “reimagined” by the epsilon containment unit.
Season 11 was a perfect excuse to change the artstyle and it work long term. They could use pieces that both remind us of the old armor and new pieces to make the characters feel more like soldiers. It also let them use the customization to completely creat new characters NOT related to the events set prior allowing them to have a reason for why they have completely different armor selections. Even the armor change for the main characters was explained partially by Washington, when caboose was told his helmet was an upgrade, but whether or not the armor is in upgrade or just a retcon is up for interpolation based on the season 12 flashback.
To film in Halo 5 they would:
no longer have the same armor sets for established characters.
Vast limitation of the creation of characters.
No longer have access to previous environments to film in.
and they would have to come up with some kind of radical explication for all the changes at once, when the story doesn’t call for it.
As of right now, nothing would justify the change when everything in halo 5 pretty much exists in Halo 4, save the new Armors they can’t use without changing character looks.
EDIT: >Theatre mode is still broken, worse since release<
the only reason im thinking they would go into 5 is if 343 adds the Brute/Grif Shot in as a weapon in a later update, unless RoosterTeeth plans on Grif losing the weapon again
With the choppy 3rd person animations due to their low framerate, I hope not.
