Since I’ve unlocked all the permanent REQ’s in Halo 5 and have plenty of weapons and vehicles, I’ve been saving all my points in case a special REQ pack comes out I can use them on. That is, unless, our REQ points are transferrable from Halo 5 to Infinite. That wound give players an incentive to keep playing Halo 5 in the meantime, improving matchmaking in a game that’s 3 years old and that can use all the players it can get. Would anyone like to see this, or have any objections?
No way any of that would happen. First of all, the REQ system is widely disliked so I doubt it’ll return in the same form, or at all. Secondly, it would mean that those who played a lot of H5 would get a huge advantage over those who got the game without having played H5. On top of that it would also be bad from a financial standpoint as MS will profit less from microtransactions in Infinite due to people saving up points in a, by then, 4 year old game.

That makes sense. I would like to see some type of reward for playing previous Halo’s however. Kind of like how you could unlock H5 armor from beating MCC on legendary(I think that’s what you had to do for Helioskrill) Either way I won’t get my hopes up too much for that.
No thanks. It wouldn’t be fair making people fight someone who already has everything unlocked on the first day of the game because they decided to hoard all their H5 REQ points from the last two years. We also don’t know if it’s even going to be the same type of REQ system.
i dont think so and even if it will, all the stuff in halo 5 wont go to have INFINITE since its two separate games
Very unlikely.
They might as well turn them into CoD points if they do that; sell an in-game currency that can be spent in every entry into the franchise from that point forward. I’d prefer it if they didn’t, though.
Nah if there is WZ and req points in Infinite they should start everyone fresh. If they transferred over points that would give people a huge advantage right off the bat.

I think its at least highly unlikely and that is if you think that everything has a chance of happening in this universe of endless possibilities.
But I would say its not happening. Firstly each Halo game has started from the beginning of collecting stuff as long as there have been unlockables, secondly if player could unlock everything in H5g player wouldnt have a stepped progression system, thirdly there hopefully is not any unlockable weapons given such cause inbalances between players.
That is to mention just a few things.
Also, I just hope req system wont return because its one of the more cancerous system in gaming.

No chance in hell. They want to siphon as much money out of people’s pockets as possible before they totally run the brand into the ground, and so it’s a borderline guarantee that they’re not going to make obtaining the monetised content any easier than it needs to be. These asinine microtransactions have no place in Halo, and if it wasn’t for the ineptitude on the part of 343 the series would still be perfectly healthy without them.
Hopefully not but we don’t know. All we know is that infinite will have microtransations but we don’t know to what extent.
