…Spoil or enhance my first playthrough of Halo 4?
I don’t want to read spoilers, but do want to understand a “Thursday War” reference, character, or Easter Egg when I encounter one.

Reading The Thursday War will not spoil Halo 4’s story, it will only enhance the experience and get us up-to-speed on the state of the galaxy when Halo 4 starts.
Spoilers is the reason why Silentium will be released after Halo 4 does (January 2013).
I would play Halo 4 first, enjoy the experience, then read Thursday war, see the connections, then play Halo 4 again. Just to be safe and experience 2 kinds of story
