For the upcoming (if it does/doesn’t come out tomorrow, it will come out within the next few months) XBOX live gold freebie release of Halo 3, will players be able to get Recon again? I may not have gold right now, but I will sure as anything go out of my way to get it for Halo 3 since that will mean more players will hop back on the servers. I know you cannot get recon anymore because you just can’t do it from bungie’s site; however I have also read that 343 unlocked it for everyone. Well I played Halo 3 alot, and I don’t have it in my thing. Will the Recon giveaway come back? Thanks
Before Halo 4 came out, they released Recon in monthly waves to new accounts.
However according to a lot of posts, some people haven’t received Recon ever after waiting for months.
I’ve tried getting a response from someone from 343i about if they will be handing out Recon again but to no avail 
To put it simply, nobody knows.
