Will people be particpating in clans on halo 5?

Put your gamertag down if you are wanting to do clans in halo 5 and put your clan information down if you are starting or moving your clan in halo 5

I will be starting a clan inside halo 5 guardians, if all is well and good

Clans? You mean the groups of people with an arbitrarily established hierarchy that request you to be online at certain times, make you practice a video game, and dictate what you do within the game? No thanks, I’ll continue to play Halo as an individual on my own terms.

Well what clans have you been joining? lol

Sure I would join or start one.

People are just usually bias against clans cause of the bad ones out there

I’ve gone from having a massive list of halo players and being almost obsessed with clans and teams in halo 3 to holding a view like d the doctor b. But recently I’ve felt I need to start building up a halo friends list again and I might even try and join a group or team. But really this all depends on the fanbase when halo 5 comes out. But hopefully everyone is as enthusiastic, friendly and team minded as with the recent cover art puzzle, because that was awesome.

Hopefully halo 5 has a fun and friendly feel to it as halo 3 did.

yeah it was pretty awesome seeing the mass amount of people working together and making forge maps and spending hundreds of hours in customs

Reach was kinda the same in custom games. More for clans anyway, i remember doing all sorts of things with clans back in reach and it was awesome!

None, because every time I’ve been propositioned to join one, those expectations are laid out for me and I decline. I’m sure there are more lax clans out there where it’s just a group of friends having fun, which is a much different story.

I’m not good enough to be in a clan. Plus, I’d be unreliable with my timings. So no.

Well usually clans i tend to join or start usually revolve around what people want to do (Like if they want to get on or not) Yes we need people to constantly get on but if people dont want to we dont force them to, just get people that are on more thats all

Depends, I’ve had my fair share of all kinds of clans and created a mainstream success clan in reach and some competitive teams but in the end, people take the game too seriously. I understand why though, you take timmy the power hungry kid and put him in a position of power, the clan will fall. My most successful clans (either created or joined) have been democratic ones. Ones that voted for the leader, and voted for issues. Of course they take maturity and it being the internet, sometimes its in short supply.

I have ill probably join one, or create one with my fiancé. Either way, ill still play the crap out of H5.

More often than not you will end up with the same 5-10 people that get on regularly and everyone else is either on and not playing, offline, or in another clan. It can become monotonous.

Yeah leadership and structure is key in any group, videogame or not. The leader has to find a balance between going on their own instinct and use the teams opinions. It also depends on the team itself, a team who wants to compete isn’t suited for everyone because some people what to mess around and have laugh whole being lax about playing, whereas some people find enjoyment out of winning and playing to the best of their teams ability and themselves.

plus 100 for you.

Finding the best of both worlds is the best way to be successful. Although its not an easy question to answer.

That logic can be applied to Halo and 343 now. How do you find a good mix to keep Halo vets and new guys happy? What about competitive and casuals? Still not an easy question regardless.

Yeah its a tough point in time for Halo, how to implement new features that will draw in new players while at the same time keeping lifelong Halo fans happy. At the moment I’m perfectly fine with Halo and the direction its going, and I’ve been playing Halo since I was six haha.

I imagine 343’s boardroom meetings are something akin to British or American war rooms.

Same, I’ve been playing since I could hold the controller (I think I was 4, I’m 18 now).

I enjoyed the beta, so they get my money (they probably would’ve gotten my money regardless).

Yeah same with me I really like the Beta, one of the beat bits of it I though was that I was able to jump straight into it almost, once I learned that LT was zoom and B was thrust I was sorted, still never managed to get a ground pound though!

also I probably would’ve bought regardless if the Beta was good, if just for the campaign.
