After all these years playing, i’ve never heard a Community manager say, It’s free to play that’s the model get over it. He literally said the paywall is because our servers and studios cost money, as if Halo has always been made by a studio trying to milk there fans for every cent. The paywall is terrible, the playlist terrible, the world is boring, your forum organization is one of the worst forums i’ve ever seen. Is this a 3rd party forum? Why don’t you use all that money you make from the paywall to hire a better web team. We don’t care how hard you worked. If a singer works on a album or a studio works on a movie for 4 years and it sucks they shouldn’t be mad at the people who spent money on it yelling at them. What a terrible company and will no longer support.
Some of your frustrations make sense, but especially who you’re directing them at doesnt. The reality is that the devs- who clearly have put a lot of love and care into the game- don’t have total control over the game. Even if the devs had made a an unrestricted customization system (which it seems lile they did), and wanted to have a decent and unmonetized progression system, etc: there are still folks at Xbox Game Studios and Microsoft who are pushing for the f2p/Fortnite money. Being angry makes sense. Being angry at the devs doesnt.
As for the forum itself, I actually have no idea what you’re talking about. It’s one of the most highly functional forums I’ve ever seen, and you didn’t actually say what kind of problem you had with it.
Just saying, even though I agree it was a weak at best cop out and it could have been handled better. Just keep in mind that the CM is only the messenger.
