Will my mate Arbiter return in Halo 4?

Well I guess so because 343i said there will be co-op campaign and as we know from previous games(Halo 2 and Halo 3)The Arbiter was there.

Co-Op Campaign I believe is Chief clones, so no Arbiter, at least for the beginning.

Can’t help it if there is a story reason, although this is not 100% confirmed, just memory, someone else will confirm it…

The Arbiter on the Forward Unto Dawn at the beginning of the campaign would simply break canon.
Chief clones break canon, but to a lesser extent.

Anywhere have they confirmed a Co-Op Campaign? I thought it was scrapped in favor of Spartan Ops?

It is coming back, yes. 4 player co-op (I don’t know about split screen).
I won’t be able to find any link, though, but don’t worry, I assure you I’m 100% sure about that.

I imagine the Arbiter will turn up at some point. Maybe Halo 4… and certainly in Halo 5. It’s kind of expected really, put it this way - there is no way that the Arbiter won’t appear in a future Halo game.

I’m guessing he will make a cameo in 4 but come back full time in 5 or 6.

if he does not die in the Kilo-five trilogy

Ah man chief clones, I hope they look a little different.

By probability:

  1. Spartan IVs
  2. Chief clones
  3. unique characters
  4. Arbiter
  5. ODSTs, marines

I doubt he’ll be in the Campaign, potentially in Sparan Ops?

Or you might play as a Marine, I wouldn’t mind that.

The Arbiter likely will not be in Halo 4.

He isn’t on the Forward Unto Dawn.
He wouldn’t be on the Infinity, he has too many issues at home.
He wouldn’t be with the Covenant in the game because they are anti-human.

So, unless the Covenant Faction we see in Halo 4 somehow took the Arbiter prisoner on their fleet, and he survived when the ship was pulled in… he wouldn’t have an appearance in the campaign.

Remember, the Servants of Abiding Truth are plotting to assassinate the Arbiter in 2553. ONI is giving them weapons, and they are slowly getting an army around. He may have not made it to 2557, unless he fled the planet.

But I guess he could be in Spartan Ops. They take place 6 months after the campaign.

We will be playing as Chief clones in Co-op campaign, it was confirmed by Kiki in an interview.

I believe you, but do you remember/can link the interview?

Here you go!

She says it at ca. 4:15.

I didn’t hear her say “chief clones”, she just said spartan ops is going to be about you as an individual spartan. Everywhere I’ve read it’s said the Spartan 4 program consists of elite soldiers from the Human/Covinent war that were selected and asked to join the program. The game only takes place 5(?) years after Halo 3, there would have been no time to grow MC clones to full adulthood in that time.

OP, from a post someone put in here from Frank O’Connor, he hinted at the Arbiter appearing in an episode or two of Spartan Ops, along with the ability to play as elites in some of those levels.

Maybe we can hope for an appearance in Spartan OPs?
