There has all ready been people data mining halo infinite for content and they have been finding scraped content like a working but unfinished SAW. and there has been a modder that has gotten a working spiker, fuelrod gun and M90 shotgun into halo infinite. i know it takes time for 343 to implement new content into the game and make sure its stable in multiplayer but if something doesn’t change soon the only people fixing the game to be more like a sand box shooter will be people do it for fun and not people that its there job to fix. this game has been marketed as what halo 1 was supposed to be and i dont see it.

Considering how much of Halo is online multiplayer, I doubt we will see any official modding allocation, but look at what people do with Forge and Infection. Once those arrive there is practically no limit to what can be done and the Forge Masters will likely start churning out classic maps and game modes in a matter of weeks.
I personally can’t wait to see a new Blood Gulch and get access to Jenga and Speed Halo again.

i doubt there will ever been modded stuff getting into official multiplayer matches but i think if modders are able to add more and more to the game custom game groups might be a big think like there were back in halo 3.

The problem there is the moment any sort of modding gets added it becomes that much easier for hackers to break it into the multiplayer as they already have access to the game and just need to pivot that access to a different point.

they need to have a way to let modders have there own space and vanilla gamers have there own kinda how when you boot up MCC you decide to play with or without anti cheat on.

Literally no, because all of those weapons are half finished things that are absolutely already in the game. Nothing, absolutely nothing was added - just enabled.
Mods, and “live service” games don’t really get along well. Maybe Halo Infinite will support modding like MCC and Halo Custom Edition, but I don’t know.
Modders unlikely, forgers will for sure. H5 was carried by the amount of amazing quality content the community produced through forge, from remakes of classic maps to complete game play scenario’s.

Would be cool if they integrated mods with forge. So you could have like a modern halo custom edition.
Custom games only obviously but they could have a pre-match mod download like some games do. Could have all types of custom weapons and stuff.
