Will Mk. VII ever be in-game?

Anyone who’s read the Kilo-5 trilogy of books knows about Naomi-010’s MJOLNIR MK VII armor, but here’s the real question: Will we ever see it in a game? I think it could be implemented in Halo 5 the same way MK VI was in Halo 4, by beating the Legendary campaign. Or, if 343i brings back Skulls, it could be unlocked by collecting all of the skulls. If it ever comes to a game, it should have a way to unlock it that is different from the other armors. Do you guys think it’s a good idea?

I had to look it up just to know what you are talking about
Here’s a couple concept art of it:

TWO LINK
I also saw some threads talking about this armor being a “fan favorite” and how it should return.
I’m perfectly fine with it. I would like to see more armor that is already in the halo universe rather then having all brand new armor.
Everyone (including 343i) are saying that halo 5 will have a huge amount of armor sets so there is actually a good chance it will be in the game.

Hmmmm…

Are there images of its canon appearance? From the images I’ve seen at least, it looks identical to the default Mark V armor save the helmet. I would prefer it to be a natural evolution over Mark VI seen in Halo 3 or 4 (both look good to me, though I’m biased towards H3)

It would be nice to have MK VII in game finally.

No.

The Generation 1 series of Mjolnir is over, spanning Mk. I through Mk. VI.

Mjolnir is now in Generation 2, with improvements being made in the form of named variants (Soldier, Recruit, HAZOP, etc.) as opposed to a “Mark” series.

Its cause Naoimi modded it to look like MK V , presumably through a similar method as chief’s h4 changes.

This is NOT official concept art.
Just saying.

Sorry to be blunt but what you said made no sense. The MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor, since the Mark IV, has always been further developed in variants for specialization in certain fields of combat or operations. Not baseline improvements. Also by the way the the Mark VII is a part of the GEN2 line, but is more experimental and seems to be more advanced than most GEN2 suits. The armor is comparable to MJOLNIR/Black, very ahead of its time. And if you’re gonna use the argument that generation 1 MJOLNIR is over, than why do we Spartans have access to Mark VI and V in Halo 4? I vote a hell yeah for Mark VII armor. Also just a little FYI, MJOLNIR started at Mark IV. The first three were exoskeletons, not powered or neural integrated.

I’m curious to see what the game brings to the table armor wise and I’m curious to see if any armor permutations can be added post release. I’m also curious if we will see some sort of implementation of new armor as part of the story, rather than just “acquiring” prior to the first seconds of the first mission.

Just to respond to this point, isn’t the Mark V and Mark VI in Halo 4 GenII variants? IE. Just upgrading the Mark V and VI to function as GenII Mjolnir variants?

I don’t think they upgraded the Mk. V and VI to be compatible with GEN II technology, I think they simply incorporated the designs and any unique features into GEN II suites.
Like Warrior is it’s own variant of GEN II, so are the designs of the earlier MJOLNIR suits.

I would be totally down for a Mk. VII. And if it does look like Mk V (B), then awesome because I loved that armor.

It already is… supposedly

It’s suggested that the Mjolnir GEN2 is the Mk. VII only relabled for the Spartan-IV program, the Next Generation of Super-soldiers

The Mark VII given to Naomi-010 is the actual armor named Mark VII though and had different capabilities all of the GEN2 armors we have seen don’t have. Such as built in nano technology to upgrade and repair the suit, a plasma fusion hybrid power system, slip space deinsertion capability, orbital reentry gear built into the armor and the ability to shape the energy shields. Like the Mark VI it would have been the base for other Mark VII variants like Recon, Scout, EVA, Rogue, etc… to be built off of. But now newer MJOLNIR suits are designated as GEN2 and just built in variants with different specializations without a certain armor to expand off of. The GEN2 Warrior model is considered the baseline model but not every other GEN2 variant builds off of it.
TL;DR So basically the Mark VII armor is GEN2, but the GEN2 armors are not Mark VII

IIRC, those capabilities, aside from the nanotech., weren’t mentioned in Halsey’s journal, and they were all theoretical. The Kilo-5 Trilogy to my recollection doesn’t really state what the actual Mark-VII is capable, so we don’t actually know how many of Halsey’s theoretical capabilities actually were implemented. But that being said, I think it is a safe bet that most of them did make it.

So if I am reading correctly, the Mark V and VI seen in Halo 4, are just GenII suits that aesthetically look like Mark V and VI from the previous generation?

No I’m sure they were in Halsey’s Journal… But I’m not sure if any are mentioned in Kilo 5, didn’t read the, It seems just to be GEN2 versions of the Mark VI and V in Halo 4.

They should totally make it happen in Halo 5.
