I have recently come to the understanding that Halo 5 will not include split screen functionality. However, I cannot find any information regarding matchmaking split screen. Is it safe to assume that no split screen in campaign will also apply to matchmaking? I tried reading through a few old threads, but nothing answered my question. I would appreciate it if proof can be provided.
If the game can not be 60fps in splitscreen, there’s no splitscreen in the game. Simple.
Many sources say two-player splitscreen across matchmaking is still a thing though.

I think I’ll wait until someone gives me proof. I found tons of proof confirming no campaign split screen, but zero evidence supporting no matchmaking split screen. So please provide proof confirming it is not in matchmaking. Since you already know, it should be simple right?
Yes there is still multiplayer splitscreen, just none for co-op campaign. Perhaps there will be a side co-op mode like firefight that’s less technically demanding that will support it? We’ll just have to wait and see at E3.
There’s a thread about split screen stuff already. Let’s keep it contained to that one please.
