Will Master Chief use Sprint?

Halo 4 marks the first Halo game with Master Chief and Armor abilities in at the same time. This leads us to an interesting question; Will Master Chief have a Sprint ability?

Sprint is now a default in multiplayer, but will it be a default for the Master in campaign? Or will he have his already quick base walking speed? The biggest downside I see to Master Chief having sprint is when he’s walking he’s base movement is going to be slower than in all the other Halos.

Thought?

EDIT: Don’t get me wrong! I would love it if Master Chief can use sprint, i just don’t want slower base movement.

He walks fast but he defo runs faster than what he is shown to be walking in the games

They already said you have halo 3 like base movement and there is sprint, so it wouldn’t do that.

Oh no, don’t get me wrong! I think it would be awesome if he can use sprint! i just don’t want them to nerf this base movement! …maybe they can make it canonically correct and make him run 50ish miles per hour!! …probably not though :confused:

I assume so because of Halo Reach.

343i did say that base movement and jumping would be faster and higher that Halo Reach, but they never compared it to Halo CE 2 or 3.

I would love for him to have sprint just don’t make the base movement slower than past games…make the sprint faster than pass games!

I recall a point in the first vidoc of chief jogging (pre-rendered i believe…) So I guess he will. And we already have a pic of him with a AA on his back.

Another thing is that 343 stated that the gameplay for chief would be identical for the S-IVs so im guessing that works vice versa.

Chief’s never sprinted in a Halo game before. We don’t need that badkid mechanic in our game.

People need to stop seeing sprint as an Armour ability.
Its a natural part (assumption according to what we know) of the controls now.
Its as natural as you or I sprinting for a bus or in a race.

I didn’t see any armor ability in the campaign screen shots.

I see no reason why sprint and AA’s wouldn’t be in the campaign.
