Will Master Chief Upgrade To Mark VII?

At the end of Halo CE and the beginning of Halo 2, Master Chief switched his armor from Mark V to Mark VI because Mark V was outdated. Now that Master Chief has return to Earth after many years, wouldn’t that make the Mark VI outdated, forcing him to upgrade his armor to Mark VII for Halo 5? What are your thoughts?

I think it would be cool to see him in new armor although its become iconic

Yes because MkVII is already worn by Naomi

Considering his suit looks nothing like that in H2 or 3 I would say he already did.

How? That same magic that saved him from a nuke going off in his face.

I doubt Mk.VII was made in large quantity, Mk.VI was one of the last iterations of the armor for mainstream Spartan use. It isn’t impossible he’ll get it, but I think he may end up with GEN2 armor or his old Mk.VI given more updates to bring it up to date.

I’d hate to see what it looks like.

This.

Isn’t that the cover of Halo the Thursday War?

Yeah, but it stands to reason that is Mk.VII.

> Yes because MkVII is already worn by Naomi

Umm. Naomi-010 has the mark V. BB even noted that she liked the “retro” model.((Editaddition)) Mark VII wasn’t even available yet. It was deployed in 2556. Glass lands and The Thursday war took place in 2553.

And I highly doubt that there will be a mark VII. Mark VI came out when there were still a notable amount of SPARTAN IIs left. Now There are only five left. Possibly eight. Kelly-087, Fred-104, Linda-058, Naomi-010, And John-117. Grey team we haven’t heard from since Cole protocol. Jai-006, Adriana-111, and Mike-No number issued. And they all still had Mark IV. Their generation of SPARTANs are the only ones capable of wearing those suits to boot. The IIIs and IVs don’t have the right skeletal augmentations to use them.

@DeceptionCobra

It is not Mark VII…Sorry. The helmet and chest plate are a giveaway for Mark V. The angle does make it look slightly different though.

> Umm. Naomi-010 has the mark V. BB even noted that she liked the “retro” model.

I believe BB said that Mk.VII looked retro, since it does sort of look like Mk.V.

> And I highly doubt that there will be a mark VII.

It exists.

Well actually no. The rest of the Spartan-IIs were given Mk.V before the Battle of Reach since it was released a year prior.

The IIIs are more then perfectly capable of wearing MJOLNIR, Noble Team, with the exception of Jorge, all wore Mk.V variants. The IVs can probably wear GEN1 armor as well, nothing says they can’t and is available in the War Games.

Probably, though I find chief’s design for halo 4 conflicting, as well as being a waste, if that were the case.

Ok. I concede some of those points, but not all. NOBLE team never existed in the books. Halo reach completely tore up the timeline. SPARTAN III’s wear secret. NEVER made public until the only five left wear retrieved with HAlsey and Mendez from Trevelyan. They do not have the ceramic bone implants. MJOLNIR would rip them apart with each movement. And IVs wear gen 2 armor. War games does not apply to story. Just because your online spartan can wear it does not make it applicable to the story.

Naomi did not have the Mark VI. It was in fact V. VII did not come out until 2556. Same year that John woke up. None of them had it.

And yes. The other IIs did receive Mark VI. Except Gray team. Linda, Will, and Fred were all at earth after John follow Regret with Miranda Keyes. I have read all the books multiple times. The Thursday war just finished yesterday. I know my stuff.

I just want to have the Mark 7 in war games most likely it will be in Halo 5 I mean we all saw cheif take off his Mark 6 armor right I mean why put it back on when they’re is a better version right now

I think the Master Chief retires after Halo 4, and Halo 5 will concentrate on a new character.

PFFFTTT just kidding!

I think he will be wearing MarkVII armor. At the end of the campaign, they took off his armor, so why put it back on?

  1. They do have a ceramic bone drug which does the same thing.
  2. Kurt made sure that Spartans like Noble Team were outfitted like real Spartans.
  3. Give me a list of the Spartan-IV augmentations and proof they can’t wear MJOLNIR GEN1.

> Naomi did not have the Mark VI. It was in fact V. VII did not come out until 2556. After same year that John woke up. None of them had it.

Where is evidence that Mk.VII came out in 2556? The armor Naomi has in Glasslands and Thursday War doesn’t match up with traditional MJOLNIR. After all it was blue in color. It is also confirmed as Mk.VII in Glasslands, just checked.

I never said you didn’t know anything, just a few things were inconsistent.

That page you listed. Was referring to operation TORPEDO. Beta company of SPARTAN IIIs took care of that. Nowhere in that message did it mention NOBLE team. “Armed like SPARTANs” SPARTANS had the most advanced tech available. They were almost never denied any requisition. Gray team for instance. Would regularly “lose their ship” during missions. And they would just be given another one.

Halo wiki has a completely database of information. However I found an inconsistency. Again. due to halo reach mukking up the story. Some of its info was used from the text descriptions from halo reach.

It does say that Naomi was the fist to wear the Mark VII. But it says she used the Mark V in the book. Finding the page number now. Will edit when I find it.

There is no known list of the augmentations for the SPARTAN IVs. Might be mentioned in the next book for the Kilo 5 trilogy.

There is also the mention that Kurt would give Ackerson his Spartans, just not all of them. Hence Noble Team.

Doesn’t exactly matter in what you are trying to prove.

I just checked on page 174 of Thursday War and it proves my point. Mk.VII simply looks like Mk.V, but it isn’t.
