Will Master Chief reunite with the other remaining SPARTAN-IIs such as Kelly-087 in future Halo titles? It’d be sick to play alongside Kelly-087 and the other SPARTAN-IIs in the campaign.
Probably not in the games.
But man I would love to finally see Chief reunite with the other Spartans.
Now that Chief is “all alone” without Cortana, what would make for the most emotional impact on his character? Yup: seeing his pals who he too thought were dead . Having him finally meet Halsey again after all he has gone through in H3 and H4 would also be terrific.
I’m really hoping it is going to happen, not in the last place because it would be awesome to see some “rusty ol’” S2’s beat SIV’s in every situation.
But I really doubt it will happen in the games now that 343i focusses on the SIV’s so much.
Yeah it would be sick to see the SPARTAN-IIs put Sarah Palmer and the rest of the SPARTAN-IVs in their place.

He should reunite with the rest of the Spartan-II’s, but 343i will probably leave them in the books, sadly.

I think it would be cool if they functioned similar to the Arbiter in Halo 3; if you’re playing solo one or two appear for a few missions, in Co-Op they’re played by other players. I mean hey, 4 person co-op, and 4 remaining S-IIs.
I don’t think MC thinks they’re dead though. Judging by the fact that he believed Halsey would be on Earth (not dead, missing, or prisoner in the Infinity as everyone else knows), it probably suggests that Chief has little or no knowledge of everything that occurred on Onyx.

It would be nice, but they need to do it right. No “custom armor” for each of them, just give them and Chief the same MJOLNIR. Paint numbers on their chests if you have to.

The guy who recorded them said he heard them on the level Infinity. There’s also Spartans in the Pelican hangar on Shutdown, they might say similar stuff.
I’d love to see the Master Chief reunite with Kelly, Linda, Fred, Naomi, and the other survivors of the initial S-II’s. It’d also be interesting to include the S-III’s that have made a connection with the surviving S-II’s throughout the books to be incorporated into the picture. Even though the II’s have been the most successful, they’re all still Spartans and they’ve all lost too many friends to the war. I think it’d be a great plot development to see the Chief slip back into his days before Cortana when it was just him and his team having one another’s backs.
Also, I’m picking up a lot of “343 favors Spartan IV’s over Spartan II’s” feelings, and I disagree. 343 has made multiple attempts to point out that the II’s are the superior Spartans. Even in SpOps, Halsey says “I see I rank 3 of the new model (the S IV’s)” and DeMarco replies “Captain Lasky asked for the best!” to which Halsey says “And yet…” which implies that even though Captain Lasky asked for the best Spartans, he didn’t truly receive them. The Spartan IV’s are simply easier to create than a Spartan II but more effective than a Spartan III. I’m sure the UNSC would create more Spartan II in a heartbeat if it hadn’t been such a difficult process to create the first class. The II’s are quality, but the IV’s have a much larger quantity.
Also when Master Chief is walking in the Infinity during the end of the campaign the SPARTAN-IVs see him and the one running on the treadmill stumbles.
Totally agree. Would be great to see some of the other Spartan II’s in Halo 5.
Some people don’t like the Halo games and books to be connected, but 343i have been working quite closely with the authors of the new Halo books (the Forerunner and Kilo five trilogies) to keep their stories accurate within the Halo Universe.
Glassman, Halsey, Del Rio and Lasky are all in 2nd book in the Kilo five trilogy Halo:The Thursday War and also feature in Halo 4 or Spartan Ops. Kelly, Linda and Fred are all in Halo:Glasslands. So holefully they bring the 3 of them into their plans for Halo 5. Possibly Niomi aswell

Weren’t the spartan IIs aboard the Spirit of Fire listed as MIA? Are there any chance they might return?
If 117 told them about being turned into a super sayan, which he did, he is probably in some lab being cut up into pieces.
So in Halo 5 we will probably be playing as a clone of 117 who will be part of the brand Spartan 5 program who are made up of half super sayans based on what was done to 117 by the Librarian.
Basically everything that 343i has told from the books previous to Halo 4 have led right into the game. So seeing Fred and Kelly in FUD and other Spartans in the K5 trilogy leads me to believe that Chief will see his old pals again.
