After playing some Halo 4 campaign with my brother to prep for the Halo 5: Guardians campaign, he asked me if Master Chief would ever reveal his face to the Halo community. Do you guys think so? Would you like it if he did?
I don’t think so. The Legendary ending tease, I would think, is more of a subtle nod towards that being as much as we’ll ever see of his face. Other than his face as a kid, I don’t see too much of a point in it, personally. Some people think the tease suggests that we will eventually get to see him, but I also think that some people don’t understand the art of subtlety.
I don’t ever want to see his adult face, because the legend is bigger than the man.
Also, Spartans spend a lot of time in their armor, but even more for the Chief. How many times have we seen Spartans remove their helmet and Chief leaves his on? When we say that Mjolnir is a second skin for spartans we’re just speaking figuratively, but it’s absolutely true for Chief. It leaves you with the impression that Chief has no use for a human face, that chief would gladly trade his real skin for permanent Mjolnir.
I know I’m greatly romanticizing the issue, but I feel as though I’ve already seen his face and it’s an olive drab MK VI helmet with a gold visor. Any other face is going to be the face of a stranger.

Deep
He is saving his face for a surprise attack when all hope seems lost. The bright white skin will reflect light and blind his opponents!
But in reality I don’t think they’ll show it unless they retire him. Then maybe we’d see old chief.
