will longer sticks improve aim in time?

I got every thing else decided with my settings with my elite controller, but I still can’t decide how the sticks effect my skill, will the longest sticks give me better precision with more practice?

I’m trying to figure this out as well not sure yet. I just upped my sensitivity to 4 so I need to give time for my muscle memory to adjust, I also increased the stick size but my aim is off now - maybe because of the sensitivity or maybe the stick…or both. I put back the older stick for now and will try again once I’m accustomed to new sensitivity.

They’re supposed to make it easier to make fine adjustments. Just like the paddles, it’ll take time to get used to and chances are you’ll be better if you use it over the shorter sticks.

Short answer is yes. Taller sticks give you more precision. You will need to practice of course to get accustomed to it.

ok thanks a lot for the feedback comrades, do you thinks is hould increase my look sensitivity by one with new sticks couse they will give me more precision or i should stick to my old one 5. for me 5 is perfectly balanced. Any more opinions on this subject would be greatly apreciated.

No, you shouldnt adjust it higher to compensate for a longer stick. The point of the taller stick is it makes it easier to make minut adjustments because the lever arm is longer. That would make the minute adjustments happen even quicker.

My current elite set up is default left stick, extended right stick, hairline triggers, and all 4 paddles mapped to the abxy face buttons. Youll get ussed to it. I actually stopped switching around my controller physically because it just feels so good in my hands with the set up. Even for adventure games i dont switch it around anymore.

can anyone give me some feedback thanks?

I tried the taller sticks and they seemed to have actually restricted my movement more than anything. It was really hard to pull the stick down-right (toward my hand/retracting my thumb).

I mean, I get the concept. The longer the sticks, the further you have to move your thumb, therefore you don’t have to make tiny thumb movements for fine targeting. But it comes at the cost of restricting your movement in certain directions.

No, it does make sense to go higher. The point of higher sensitivity is to make turning around more quickly at the cost of fine movement. With longer sticks, you make up that loss in fine movement. Longer sticks pair well with higher sensitivity.

Although he is already at 5, which is probably where I’d put it with the longer sticks.

I played for 4hours at 5(usual sensi) with long stick, no perfect kills, a switched to 6 with the long stick i got like 5 pefect kills in an hour, a mean i think i should stay with the higher sensitivity

anyone else any thoughts?

I like slightly taller, but wider, sticks. It really helps with precision. I have 4 sensitivity, 2 look accel., and 0% deadzones

I’ve tried like 6 or 7 different extenders and medium length worked best.

The Kontrol freek vortex was way too high, I felt like I “couldn’t reach” the top comfortably and they made the stick feel “dainty” like I was gonna break it off.

But then I put the left stick from the Vortex on to my right stick instead, and that was perfect.

Aim feels much more precise & they are super super grippy, even if your hands are sweaty like crazy, they won’t slide off.

Of course, this is all preference. Use what feels best to you.

a guess it all comes down to what the player feels best, but still different settings of other people to try from is a big benefit
