Will John get a Buff?

Never has our hero showcased any signs of weakness. The Master Chief as we all know is OP, and we like it that way. Its amazing to play multiplayer as our hero and see who can play his role to the fullest!
Recently coming across a few matches in PVP, in MCC and Halo 5, I noted something.

In Halo 4’s load-out customization, I always opted for dexterity. It made me feel like a bigger badass than the game already made me feel. I feel like that side of MC should already be there.

For example, in Halo 5, the magnum comes with a medal called quick-draw, this medal should be applied to all precision weapon categories.

At this point, the Chief should be able to fineness all weapons with mastery. How is it possible that he does not know how to quick draw A BR, DMR, CARBINE, etc. There is lag time with weapon switching and firing, the sync is not there sometimes. I understand there are several other factors that are played into consideration like weapon animations, but it all comes down to how the player creates his scenario.

For instance, if I’m at the rocket launcher first, like I always am, then the rocket launcher shouldn’t lag after picking it up when I want to shoot it. Its possible I am missing some mechanic but I would really enjoy to see faster weapon swapping.

Regardless the way it is now, is perfect. But, as times continues there is always room for error.

No need to worry on the Spartans and potential weaknesses but considering gameplay aside, John is alot quicker. He like other Spartan Super Soldiers can dodge gunfire at point blank range due to their augments. Keep in mind that there’s gameplay balancing that comes into play. If the Spartans were literally as powerful as they appear in other media in the games, they would be nearly unstoppable walking tanks aside from some minor inconsistencies here and there. And for the record, you may consider John OP but factor his abilities in comparison to other Spartans, there’s others who can topple him if they really choose to. Kelly has to slow down for him, Linda has caught targets before he even noticed them, Kurt has beaten him in training excercises due to his “extra sense.” All John really has in comparison is luck.

It comes down to gameplay and balancing. If the game mechanics were to follow canon more closely, the Spartans would all move way too quickly for any gamer to be able to control what was happening on screen.

Halo 5’s campaign tinkered with the idea a little bit though. If you play it co-op, you can choose your Spartan and see how each one’s loadout is slightly different. It’s not a huge difference, but making it so would change the feel of the game too much.

You’re going way too deep. The QuickDraw medal is a play on drawing your weapon fast with a handgun-style weapon. Even if Chief could draw on of the larger rifles quickly, that would theoretically mean he could draw the magnum that much faster due to enhanced reflexes, precision, etc.

I doubt 5 bullets from a magnum could kill a super-soldier but in order for the game to be balanced some sacrifices to realism must be made.
