I apologize if this has been adressed, but I haven’t seen any signs of it.
So we now know that we will be able to earn credits starting with season 2, and those credits can be used for the battle pass. We also know that you can keep playing a previous season’s battle pass even after a new one is out.
The question is… Can we purchase the premium S1 battle pass after the S2 has been released?
I refuse to spend money on MTX, but I really like the Reach armor. If we can obtain that by playing the game, then I will be really happy.
Does anybody know if this is the case, or maybe if it should be a thing?
I believe it will be possible to buy premium versions of previous battle passes. Pretty sure I remember seeing that somewhere.
I am unsure if the credits season 2 onwards will be earnable on the free pass or the premium pass. If you can only get credits on the premium pass you’re out of luck.
When 343 stated that seasons will never go away I would assume that includes being able to buy the premium pass for each season. I don’t think it would make a whole lot of sense to say “We don’t want you to suffer from FOMO so every season will always be available forever, but you only have a limited time to buy the premium pass for each one.”

I’ve heard that the free battle pass will go away, but the premium/paid battle pass will stay, but what the details are I do not know.
Has anybode else figured if you can buy the S1 Battle Pass after the next season launches?
You can buy the premium battle pass even if the season expires.
The only fine print is that you can’t go back to do the free track of a season pass if you do not own the premium version, but I do believe you still get the free track rewards after you buy and further progress it.

Don’t know if you got a confirmation for this particular hope but the credits in the Season 2 Battle Pass are only for those who buy it. The credits are not a reward for free players.

If you buy the season 2 battle pass for 1000 credits you will earn 1000 credits by the time you hit level 100. Free players may get a much smaller amount of credits by the time they hit level 100 but dont count on it.
In theory if you buy 1 battle pass for 10 dollars you should never have to buy another one as long as you dont spend the 1000 credits you earn on anything

Well, the premium passes are permanent so it really wouldn’t be a good business model to give free players credits.
They could just save up and then buy all of the passes for free
