Intrepid Eye, introduced in the books Halo: Last Light and Halo: Retribution as an Archeon class Ancilla who wants to make Humanity worthy of the Mantle of Responsibility.This topic can be fleshed out in multiple ways and I will attempt to cover them all.
- Intrepid Eye attempts to make Humanity worthy of the mantle: In this “story-line” Intrepid Eye would try make Humanity a worthy species, so we could inherit the mantle and do cool stuff like build giant super weapons in the form of ring-worlds or control an entire species with a mind control thing that digs into your brain. Anyway, Intrepid eye will most likely use Veta Lopis, we know this because at the end of Halo: Retribution, Intrepid eye says that Veta is a spectacular sample of the human race and that she would need her to make Humanity worthy of the mantle. - Intrepid eye will attempt to help the created: This one is a very interesting because that would make Intrepid Eye the enemy. This would give the Created an advantage, which of course would be the Archeon class Ancilla. This would of course mean that the probability of humanity or any of the many known species would lose this “fight” leaving us under control of Cortana and the Created.Or, maybe she will not have a role because not as many people read the books as people play the games and 343 Industries will do the same thing they did with Agent Locke and refuse to flesh out the character of Intrepid Eye. Maybe she will be kept in the books which is perfectly fine. What do you think?
I think they’re gonna start trying to keep the EU away from the main games, so I unfortunately think this AI won’t make the cut.
She already has so far. I mean, without her, Blue Team would never have gone to Argent Moon…and I doubt Chief would have gotten the message from Cortana. And they wouldn’t have had access to the Prowler to get away so easily…

That is unfortunately a possibility.
I hope that Intrepid Eye continues to become a prominent character in the EU lore and even work her way into the games. She has got to be one of the better/interesting characters introduced recently, along with Veta Lopis. Their stories have added a certain new flair to the EU that I very much enjoy. Intrepid Eye FTW!!!

Definitely, this would work very well especially since she wants to make Humanity inherit the Mantle of Responsibility.

I really hope not. They just have to introduce them like any other new charachter. It is certainly possible that they have again learned all the wrong lessons.

Intrepid Eye made the Asteroida project a reality. ONI was going to shut it down. She was the one who initiated it through her byzandiane web in the first place and made sure that Argent Moon was working on it.
If they weren’t there wouldnt have been the containment breach. If there hadn’t been that no one would have died, Recker wouldn’t have sent it out of normal position, and it wouldnt have been found by the Covenant.
And then Blue Team wouldnt have had to go take it back.
