I don’t think they have confirmed that anywhere. However, MCC sill be getting workshop support in the nearish future, so it stands to reason that Infinite will as well at some point.
I highly doubt that. Supporting mods would be cutting off the revenue stream of cosmetics. Maybe at the very end of its lifespan, just like the MCC, when the game is given over to the community to take care of.

No news yet for Infinite, but it’s a neat idea. I’m hoping the larger access to MCC mod tools creates some momentum for Infinite mod support
workshop support is essentially crucial for the longevity of this game on PC.

aren’t cosmetics going to be limited to multiplayer? modding anything in MP is bannable, even if it’s only client side.
Since its a live service game it stands to be reasoned that there wont be any modding of any kind. after all alot of major systems have changed to put MTX up front and center.

yea I suppose the only hope we have is campaign mods
I hope so, so many games are still alive today because of the steam workshop modders.
I imagine that is something they are looking at, although the likelihood of having steam workshop support at launch or even relatively close after launch is highly improbable. The Microsoft Store version of MCC has a portion where you can load the game without the anti-cheat enabled so that you could mod the game however you wanted to, but you couldn’t access online modes in that version. I could see them doing something similar with Infinite and make it so that you could only play locally or in private lobbies in a moddable version of Infinite. It would be cool to see what people come up with.
