I recently read that Ubisoft limited editions of games won’t be having discs on Series X,could this be a sign that Xbox will abandon physical disc versions of games and release only digital?
What is your opinion for Halo Infinite on this matter, what if the game will be released as only digita download and not on disc?
Probably both since its coming out on Xbox One as well as the New Console’s Next Gen.
So 75% sure you can get it on disc also.
There is the proof it will be on today console also: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/halo-infinite
probably disc and digital on console but on pc, most likely digital only.
I would like to have it in a disc, just like the other games.
I don’t feel like it’s mine till i get it physically, but i wouldn’t mind if we only can get it digital, while i can play it without conection it would be fine.
The standard edition at least will definitely have a disc. It’s not been officially confirmed but I think it’s a safe assumption considering the Series X has a disc drive and Halo is the flagship title.
There has been a trend recently of limited edition games and consoles not including a physical copy of the game you are getting, I’m pretty sure the Halo 5 Legendary Edition launched without a disc. Same thing with Destiny 2 and a few dozen other games. I wouldn’t be surprised if the limited edition does not have a disc.
Be on both as it always has been
The game will more than likely release on both.
There’s still a market for disks at the moment, albeit not a huge one.
Disks will be around just not as widely circulated as they would have been 10 years ago.
Probably both disc and digital. I though it was wired when my statue edition H5 cane with digital only. My wife got a physical copy so that’s why I don’t care as much but I prefer physical copy. I have always had the feeling that you never truly own a digital copy. One day the service will no longer work and you will not be able to have that game again.
I have to agree that it probably won’t be available on disc for PC. Which is unfortunate because I prefer (personally) the ability to physically handle the game. I don’t like having a game only available VIA digital format because in most circumstances that means you can’t play it without internet connection. Which seems to be the way most games are going these days. Look at Ghost Recon Breakpoint for example. Campaign is unplayable even solo without a connection to the internet. And from what I’ve gathered about Halo Infinite, it’s campaign will be the same. Hopefully that’s not the case, but I guess we’ll have to see.
