I guess since Microsoft has Gears of War and Doom they already have their gruesome and gritty games.
The Microsoft store page for Halo Infinite says it has a [T] rating.
Halo has always been Mature with the exception of H5, but in comparison to other mature games it has been very mild. In my mind I have always thought of it as more of a T rating. Gore is very minimal outside of a few flood cut scenes, vulgarity is almost non-existent (of course on-line play is almost non-stop vulgarity if your chose to turn on game chat), no signs of -Yoink!- or substance use. Obviously there is plenty of violence but it feels more cartoony most the time, though some assassination animations do make me grimace.
The rating isn’t a big deal for me. If a Teen rating for Halo turns you off to the game, then you are probably playing for the wrong reasons. Mature ratings can be a hard stop for many parents, so I’m fine with T to bring in some of the younger audience, though I wonder how many parents actually care about that kind of stuff.
Oh cool. I figured since halo 4 and 5 are T then infinite would be
Well I guess when an enemy gets stuck with a grenade we won’t hear “blam!”.

Halo 4 is rated M, just saying lol, don’t take any offense to my correction.
I kinda don’t really mind Infinite being T, I’ve seen people get worked up about it and I just don’t know why? It’s just a rating, focusing on how suitable the content is for certain people.

Like the other guy said all the halos are like rated M because of blood and language. So yeah I don’t mind infinite being T. I do believe they will get more okays from parents to let their kids play. Which hopefully helps the game boom.
An M rating would probably keep the Fortnite kids away, but I think Halo Infinite would be better off with a T. Halo has always been oriented towards a teenage/adult audience and a T rating suits it. Of course, I hope a T doesn’t hold back 343 and their creativity. Hopefully, we can get a game less bland than H5 with a T rating.

In the Xbox site it still says “Rating Pending”.

Halo 4 is M because of the composer scene alone
I hope it’s rated “M” but it could go between rated “T” or “M” by being 15 or 16+ like what Halo 2 happens to be.

The store page has it clearly listed as [T], I’d trust that over the promotional page.

No point in arguing. The game isn’t even complete yet, so there is no way it has gone through the official rating process. Pending is probably technically accurate, where Teen could be what Microsoft is targeting.

Really hope that changes. The rating of a game can affect the tone of a game. Not a fan of toning down the story for the sake of younger audiences who will probably most still find a way to play M rated games.

You could be right, I’m just bringing up what someone else pointed out in another thread.

I was starting an argument my friend, personally, a teen rating makes me conclude that the flood won’t make much of an appearance, so I’m kinda clinging onto hope it hits a mature rating.

The conflicted rating happened over a year ago and things change. What might have been an expected rated then might not be correct at this moment and due to the delay some website mistakes can happen on any website. I’d suggest waiting longer for some official news.

I think many people here are holding out on that same hope as well. If the Flood make the cut proper dismemberment needs to make it in again like it did in Halo 3.
tbh, there’s nothing we really have that tells us that it is going to have one of the two ratings. No real game content aside from the gameplay demo and few screenshots, cutscene dialogue and concept art shared and no confirmed aspects that could possibly impact the rating. We’ll probably have to wait a bit longer until the rating is confirmed.

If the flood looks anything like this, id say the game deserves the M… that is, Infinite has flood…
