First and foremost H5 wasnt entirely bad. It was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the abomination H4 but does anyone remember the amount of blank shots in a row you would get? By far the worst registration on the planet, right? I cant stress it enough. The only time my shots registered decently was a Halo Tournament in Denver. The “Lan” connection speed was 1gb up and 1gb down. I have very decent internet at home but honestly for you to need gb to register decent is wild. H5 more often than not was painful online. Imagine having the first 6 shots leading into the start of a fight and getting destroyed by someone who pops 5 easy. TERRIBLE! LOL. Ive been a Halo sweat for over a decade. multiple 50’s, Onyx, Champion you name it i got it. moving on, they say its dedicated servers yet my shots register in Reach, H2A, and H3 just fine but not in H5. To get to champion rank was a struggle bus. I did not enjoy h5 multiplayer and all it did was bring hate. So, with that i hope this isnt the case for Infinite. I absolutely loved what i saw. i have never been so hyped for a Halo campaign in a long time. I liked the mesh of Reach and Halo 5 that they brought to it. Not my first choice to save a dying franchise but ill take it! I pray that the hit registration is nothing like H5 at all or i am in a pickle to hang up the sticks. Tell me what you loved most about and what you hated about H5? what do you look forward to see in Halo Infinite?
H4 campaign > H5 campaign
H4 multiplayer < H5 multiplayer
I personally thought Halo 4 was all around better then Halo 5. But to answer your question Halo Infinite I believe will be better then 4 and 5.
It will be better than 4 and 5 combined.

Excuse me, but I happen to like H4!
H4 wasn’t even a finished product is my point.
appreciate everyone’s input
I can only base it by a feeling, but the gunplay certainly felt like a 343i game to me. So my guess is they ripped the aiming system from H5 and got rid of the smart link ADS bonuses. Hope to be wrong! H5 felt good, but after playing so much MCC I realized how much I missed the aiming system from classic Halo to Reach! With modern stick smoothing on top of it? I’m sold! Even H2A - which I prefer to H4/5 by a landslide - feels wonky to me due the fact that it uses the H4 aiming system and calibrations. Therefore I guess H2A is a great example to get an idea on how Hi will be! Can’t know about hit registration though. That has a lot to do with the netcode after all, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that code is recycled too.
Sorry if I’m too pessimistic buddy, but that’s the feeling I got from the Hi trailers so far!

Neither was MCC nor Halo 5. The only Halo that was finished in recent years was Halo Wars 2 and that wasn’t even developed by 343.
GULP
If it isnt that’s 3 halo titles in a row that they had time to do right, but failed.
If this isnt it.
I’ll become a ps5 guy.
Halo is the only reason I havent switched sides yet.
Eh, Halo 5 wan’t that bad. Halo 4 wasn’t terrible either. The only bad Halo game that exists is probably one of those mobile game rip-offs, and those aren’t even actual Halo.
And I don’t think Halo: Infinite will be bad, I’m confident in 343i.
Halo 5 was great (albeit after a rocky start).
The campaign had issues but was still very playable.
Multiplayer is awesome. Still playing it daily. 5 years on.

Honestly that answer everything about wich 343 game is better.
It looks like an upgraded h5. So probably if you liked 5 you’re going to like hi.
Infinite takes place on a Halo ring and you actually play as MC the whole time. That alone already makes it better than Halo 5.
Of course it will be better - because it can’t get any worse - or at least I hope so lol
I’m with you on the shot registration it is horrible for h5 when you have to put an extra shot to kill someone
if they can fix that in infinite then it will be a lot more fun with just that alone
Best to wait till Halo Infinite’s ‘flight’ to get a rough idea since it’s clearly going to end up feeling more like a demo than a proper test in unless they actually do a proper test in 2020 that lets us test the game design project before the ‘drastic’ changes are made for ‘future’ 2021 flight’s or it will kind of make 2021 tests seem pointless since games need to be tested to see what works with smaller groups to get feedback on ‘game-play’, ‘graphics’ before working on major server tests. I still see Halo 5’s multiplayer and campaign as the worst in the series but with the ‘20/20’ event demo I’m mostly underwhelmed with the campaign demo and they need to show off the multiplayer before I can make a decision on if I like Infinite’s changes.
The problem is 343i have been pretty dark on their development cycle and they’ve been bragging about Infinite for a while, well the demo didn’t match what they were trying to hype up and there are too many inconsistency’s with the quality control of the overall design of the game that make it look bad in some places while great in other places so I’m not sure what to think.
Honestly, I think it will be the best 343 Halo title. Remains to be seen if it can match the quality of the original trilogy, but we’ll see.
Halo 4 was brilliant, only thing I am bothered by is the art-style, apart from that it is just great.
I find it hard to believe it will be better than Halo 4, but I do hope so. But there is no chance what so ever that I will like it less than Halo 5.
I didn’t even like the gameplay trailer of infinite, but if that demo is all I got, I would still like it more than Halo 5 lol…
