So infection, 343’s “golden” update.
I’m pretty sure it’s going to be in the March update.
February is planned to launch most ball gamemodes like: Oddball, Grifball, Assault. (Actually if you look under Riptide we see a ball holding plate underneath it.)
The new playlist they’ll be adding in Febuary is Ball Mode (Oddball, Assault, Grifball, Ricochet, et cetera). Hopefully Infection arrives in March.
I wouldn’t count on it. Not that I mind, I think infection is dull.

Has that been confirmed? I think we’re making assumptions about which modes get put in. I think odds are that grifball is added because of the ball shown and the hammer. But I don’t think we can really assume anything else just yet. 343 has been a bit stingy on game modes so it’s better to expect less and receive more.

I believe Josh Holmes confirmed on Twitter that we would indeed be getting those modes.

They said they’re adding a spiritual successor to assault and all these other modes can be made via settings
No, they seem to be prioritizing the ball gametype. Which is a good decision I suppose. If it can in fact become Assault, Oddball, Ricochet, or Griffball then we would essentially be getting 4 gametypes all in one.
If we get either one I’ll be happy.
Those modes allow alot in custom maps.
Was it 100% confirmed we are getting Grifball, or are people assuming this, cause there is no hammer in the game, the hammer is a brute weapon. Brutes are gone from the story ie covenant and all there weapons too. Halo 5 clearly had it removed for a reason, I love the hammer and lot of the brute weapons but being real these will be the three most likely to get Assault, Oddball, Ricochet. Two of which are standard and 1 is meant to replace grifball. So I honestly doubt will see it at all. Unless some one can link me where they say they are adding the hammer then I will believe you.
They confirmed it for the FUTURE, they said they are right now focusing on ball games (Assault, Grifball, Oddball, etc).
