in halo 5 I have been opening packs since the start. I have done it all legitimately with RP. Around 2 weeks ago I started to get legendarily every pack yet now I have them all , it gives me RP instead of the mythics. Is this normal?
Some need challenges to unlock,Most of the mythics do. Helioskril needs mcc legendary completion. MkIV armours need certain mcc missions and that’s all I know.

Sounds to me like you opened up all the available unlocks for Gold. When you have opened all available for a given category then RP’s are given.

I didn’t check that… wow. On my main account I’m a 69 I think and I’m not even done with the Rares yet, and that’s with some packs bought…

Just getting the packs with RP means you don’t buy any golds until around my level (80) and you’re 66. So stop screwing up and start low. Get bronze and silver maxed.

That’s completely false. I’m level 90 now and I’ve been buying gold packs since at least mid 60’s. The only packs I bought were the warzone packs and I wasn’t smart enough to wait until I had most of my rare and uncommon permanents unlocked, so those were essentially wasted. But you don’t wind up waiting until level 80 unless you kept every single req and didn’t sell anything.

Yeah, total BS. I’m 97 I think and I’ve just broken into the ultra-rare scene. Still a few rares floating around too probably.
You will unlock all rares at around level 80-82. You will start unlocking legendary mythics at level 92-95. You will frequentely get mythics at level 102-104.
I only got my first mythic assassination tonight from a gold pack after completing bronze and silvers a few weeks ago.

No, it is in the REQ system. I can’t remember which employee confirmed this, but it’s there. Aside from a few items (like the HCS pack, Astro gaming pack, etc.), most of the items are in the system. It just takes a lot of collecting to get there, or some majorly good luck.
As far as getting there sooner, be sure and stick to Bronze packs until all of your common REQs are done. That will increase your odds of receiving rare in Silver packs, and even higher REQs in Gold packs. It’s just a matter of patience if you’re playing through and earning the points through gameplay.

Pretty sure you can only get it from beating all the campaigns on legendary in MCC. It’s not a glitch, do the work.
