Now i know that if i’m selected for flights i’ll be notified by email.
But i’m wondering if i don’t get picked will i see a email saying like “Sorry you didn’t get picked, good luck next time!” or something.

Anytime Microsoft has invitede into a alpha - beta test. I have never seen a rejection letter.
I am assuming they’re going to rate based upon your system specs. And other qualifying conditions like community engagement.
When I tested sea of thieves I said single player needs to go a pirate ship needs Team work at all times because you can’t fire a cannon while steering and positioning sails
The rolling lobby was a clear choice as who has 4 friends who are all in the Beta with time to link up together.
Which brings me to my number one point about Halo and online multiplayer communication is everything I hope they can create a filter where teams with headsets and not can play in separate games as those who can chat in game have a high tactical advantage.
Have patience this is a huge port/remake
From what I’ve read, they’ll definitely do an announcement to the community about flight emails being sent…
So I assume if the announcement comes and you don’t have an invitation then you’re simply not invited for that flight. However, I would remain optimistic for the next flight as the selection pool expands.
They’ll make an announcement post here when they start sending out invites. So if there’s an announcement post and you don’t get an invite it means you were rejected.
I suspect Reddit will go into melt down, email servers will crash and the hype will literally burn the website hosting servers to the ground.
I think an important distinction needs to be made here.
Not getting picked does not equal rejection
Just because you are not picked for the first wave of flighting does not mean you won’t be picked at all, as they will bring on more people as the development stage progresses.

^ Exactly this.
You won’t get notified if you’re not picked for flighting, but that just means you didn’t meet or aren’t the criteria that 343 are looking for in that particular flight. As flighting progresses it will open up to more people.
Probably not.
I’m assuming not, just because of how confidential the first flight is likely to be. That being said, I just saw a Tweet that said “I’m a Halo Insider!” and I can’t tell if that means the person signed up for the program or if the first flight’s starting.

Means they are part of the program, flighting has not started yet. If it had there would be a pinned announcement about it

Thanks for the clarification.
I don’t think any of us will be participate in the first flight, just because it will be a smaller one. Maybe we will be in the second or (the third?) wave.

No
You will not be notified. I’m ready for the flighting however. Hopefully in the next few weeks or so they might begin.
