Based on what we’ve seen recently, the HUD and UI will be pretty customizable. Do you think there will be an option to turn off those obnoxious hirmarkers? I mean, there’s an option to flat-out turn off the HUD so I’m assuming that option will be there too.
I wish there is
I don’t think we have received any info on it either way. But, having more customization is usually good.
I’m curious though, wouldn’t you want to have the hitmarkers enabled if other players have them? I don’t mean to suggest you should like them, but not using them when other players have access to hitmarkers will put you at a clear disadvantage (assuming you mean MP and not campaign).

We’ve really only seen them in campaign. I know some people are holding out hope that they aren’t in multiplayer, but the truth is that disabling them would only be a disadvantage in that mode.
Really, I hope they just throw full HUD customization into the game. Placement, transparency, size, etc… for every single hud item.

I’d definitly turn them off in the campaign. Takes away the immersion, tension, and just clutters the screen.
For multiplayer, they shouldn’t even be there to begin with but I know they will. I still might turn them off because of how much they bug me lol but we’ll see.

Gotcha. Yeah, I agree with turning them off in campaign. They’re unnecessary since you can see enemies reacting to getting hit.
Hitmarker is feedback of the fact that you hit your target of not. I don’t see the use of them in campaing as you already have feedback from ennemies being stagered or shields lighting (even part of armor being torn out as seen in the gameplay reveal last year)
In multiplayer as well you had shield lignting and sparks when it’s down. I hope we get this and not only hitmarker as a feedback.
I hope we can turn of the hexagonal shield recharge given how intrusive it is. Shield recharge sound and seeing the shield bar is more than enough information imo.
i hope they are toggleable in campaign and off in multiplayer
I don’t even know why they need to be included tbh. Halo already had feedback on hits in the form of shield flare, fizzle, and blood in every title before hitmarkers were implemented, they’re entirely redundant in Campaign, and just adds to the clutter in multiplayer. 343 talked about how dense the audio was in Halo 5, there was too much going on, I definitely think the UI also added to the chaotic and overwhelming feeling while playing multiplayer in Halo 5. There’s pinging noises for hits, kills, headshots, random medals just for doing incredibly basic things, it’s all flashing on screen. There’s just a lot of information on screen at once that frankly is rather redundant. I hope it’s streamlined so we get back to that classic feeling

Toggles for all is the future!
I seriously doubt it, I don’t know why 343i even put them into Halo.
