will Halsey be killed in halo 5?

will Halsey be killed off in Halo 5? if Halsey had to be killed off, who should do it? should it be on screen?

Its possible but it’s most likely not going to happen.

VERY unlikely. She’s starting to play a major role, they wouldn’t start bringing her up to kill her that soon, plus she hasn’t seen John yet.

Her death could make for a powerful moment. Then again, so could John’s.

I really don’t see Halsey dying anytime soon, though. Wasn’t she narrating the ending of Halo Reach, which took place in 2589? This doesn’t necessarily confirm that she’s still alive by then, but at this point, we can only speculate.

If Halsey is to be killed, I think Palmer should do it…right in front of John and Blue Team. That’d make for an interesting/tense moment.

I don’t want her to die though, only because of the simple fact that she doesn’t deserve it.

> If Halsey is to be killed, I think Palmer should do it…right in front of John and Blue Team. That’d make for an interesting/tense moment.

And then, we should have to kill Palmer, which would then be known as the best moment in Halo history!

Well it’s very possible due to recent events and seeing how Cortana and Miranda Keyes dies. Thing about it – both her figurative and biological daughters are dead. She’s also now a war criminal and an outcast among humanity, she’s forcibly been allied with Covenant remnants, and I think she has very little to live for beyond learning and enacting revenge on ONI.

The only way I see her surviving is if she reuinites with John-117 and her survival is vital for the Librarian’s plan administrated long-ago through ancient Geas.

A GOTY right there everybody. XD
But in all seriousness, I think she has a lot of importance in the Librarians’ plans, she may die, just not in the next one, at least I don’t think so. I expect her to sacrifice her life, to save her Spartans and humanity, or yes be killed by Sarah Palmer, right in front of John’s eyes.

I’d of rather killed that dumb -Yoink-, Miranda Keyes, worst Halo character created

While you’re entitled to your opinion, and I respect it very much, why do you say that? I can’t possibly see how Miranda Keyes is anywhere near as bad as a character as Palmer. I actually quite liked Miranda Keyes…

No. She gave a eulogy to Noble Six in 2589, if they did choose to kill her off they’d be breaking canon.

Halsey should be rescued by Chief, and then learn betrays Jul, and return to infinity, and help infinity with the key, and become a valuable asset to forerunner tech, and tries to earn back the trust of the others.

Things are rarely that simple in the Haloverse.

Well, seeing as how 343i and Karen Traviss have boarded the Halsey hate train, I see that as being highly improbable. It would be really nice though, to see Halsey redeem herself for saving humanity though. I mean, her actions only stopped the Flood from spreading, and indirectly caused the Covenant Great Schism that allowed the Elites to ally with humanity. How dare she do such a thing! For shame!

With respect, they already broke much of the canon with reach (depending on how you look at it). Same with h4. I find it odd how chief’s armor changed from halos 3-4 despite never actually physically changing it himself. It looks more like GEN 2 armor currently then what it did at the end of halo 3; Mk 6. This may seem rather knit picky, but its true. Same with FUD. How come only Lasky made it into Halo 4? Where are the others like Sully and Orenski?

Anyway, i think Chief should be there while Palmer is attempting to execute her, and then makes the ground breaking decision of shooting Palmer in the back before she could carry out the assassination. THATS how she should die! I think that would be the biggest twist in story telling history. I would be satisfied with that.

My guess is no. I think she’ll become a major player in the next few games.

Bungie also said that Jun died on Reach.

No they did not. Hovewer an epilouge like that could be just for the sake of the story, and we should not take it as evidence that she is alive by then.

> Well, seeing as how 343i and Karen Traviss have boarded the Halsey hate train

I can see Karen Traviss on that train, but 343i, I’m not about to fall for the idea that they hate Halsey, mostly because we just love hearing Jen Taylors voice in Halo. But also because of how some of the characters acted around her, Lasky wasn’t willing to kill her, he even ordered Majestic to go rescue her, and in doing so Thorne questioned why Palmor thought Halsey betrayed the UNSC because Halsey didn’t wan Jul to get his hands on the key, or at least the whole key.

No they didn’t. Bungie said that “Jun’s fate remains unknown.”
