Will halo infinite multiplayer feel like 5 or MCC

Trying to good. Went to know what to expect.

We don’t know yet. Hopefully we get classic Halo gameplay mechanics and not another power rangers in space with COD gameplay like in Halo 5 or Halo will die.

I hope its more classical given it can be paced faster than the new type of gameplay with extra animations with level design. Gameplay would also flow better.

I dont think they will ditch the new system at least fully but one can always hope.

Hopefully we will have the original sprint-less formula to enjoy in this Halo. It would be a very welcome change of pace.

Halo Infinite needs to feel like Halo Reach or Halo 3 Mythic

Some people would even lead themselves to believe that Halo 5 Guardians is a CoD rip-off XD

And how is it not? ADS, thrust, weapon skins, slide, sprint, etc. They was even a spartan ability that was cut where you could boost jump. It’s clearly a COD ripoff.

I’m hoping for a good balance. I prefer classic game play but don’t mind minor innovation. Halo 5 felt like too many new mechanics were added.

I wouldn’t mind keeping sprint and removing the other abilities.

They did a good cross over from H-4 so I’m sure they will do fine this time.:v::ok_hand:

The only thing i like about halo 5 is the feel of the magnum and thrust. Sprint, spartan charge, ground pound sucks. We just need better maps too. Classic maps were the best

Hopefully Classic, no ADS, Sprint, ground-pound or spartan charge (if thrust was like evade I would be more accepting of it), but ideally full blown classic

I’ll let you know after I time travel to a couple years in the future. I hope it plays like Halo Infinite and it’s a good game.

Or maybe it could be a bit more like Halo Reach… You can have somewhat special abilities, but they should be scattered around maps as power-ups that are temporary. Or none at all, look at sales figuers across the full Halo Arc H1 < H2 < H3 > H4 > H5, I personally did not enjoy H3 nearly as much as H2, but it was at least comprehensible. The downward trend of new Halo sales should alone suffice to prod this company to rethink the “faster, higher, etc.” approach… Really I never tire of pointing this out but go on youtube and find a video of Halo Pros (ie MLG Chicago 2006) and actually watch the grainy footage, you’ll notice that their BR was aimed at their target and then the person being aimed at would die. Now H2 sniper did have some sweep scoping, but again look at H3 MLG tourney footage and you’ll see that literally the cursor was over top of the target. Now watch H5, the Pistol is often visibly separated from the target, and yet people get “hit”. These are pro players unable to keep up with the game, and so get the generous assistance of severe magnetism. As a spectator it’s painful to watch, and looks - to be blunt - ridiculous and unskilled. Now I’ve played H5 (very bad at it), so I know it most certainly is very skill based, and unlike CoD you need to be able to aim and hit for something like 1.5 seconds to get a kill, similar to previous Halos. But the old school formula allowed players to intuitively grasp the game more quickly and had longer staying power. Let CoD fanboys cry about no sprinting, the skill needed to be successful in H2/H3 was about teamwork, map control, and a steady BR.

Something similar to Reach would be nice.

A modular system like Reach had, but with pick-up power ups instead of loadouts and with H2/3 as the base. A forger’s wet dream basically, so let me dream!

I wouldn’t mind to have classes or loadouts in some for fun modes like Invasion, Firefight or Wazone though. I also wouldn’t mind to have a health system similar to ODST, because when health packs are involved you’re forced to move more around the map even when you play well.

A more vehicle focused gameplay is needed as well imho.

I want it to feel like Halo Infinite. In my opinion there’s not much to gain from making it anything like Halo 1-3 or Halo Reach-Halo 5 (which are simply their own genre of game apart from the originals).

Who am I kidding, there is everything to gain from making it more like Halo 1…

Maybe, think we’ll be in 60 fps but games gonna look great

I’m hoping it’s not too much like classic Halo, and not too much like how far Halo 5 went, there should be a compromise between old and new. Also should be catering to both casual and competitive players.

Just make it halo 2/3 with thrust  , Do you guys like the 1-50 or bronze - onyx ranking system better?

Technically speaking the class ranking system is more precise, but personally I still prefer the 1-50 system. It just pumped me more and was a bit more transparent.

However, if they would add a progress bar where you can see how much you lost or gained after every match I wouldn’t care at all which system 343i decides upon. I don’t know if it’s possible though - the rank is also based on the populations true skill if I remember correctly. But the lack of precise data is what made me dislike the GoW4 and H5G system more than anything.

Undoubtedly the Halo Ring 50 is super tight! I wish they would faithfully recreate the exact H2 symbols (ie no number super imposed on levels 44-50, just the symbol).

On second thought, once one has a 50, the 50 should be displayed in any rank symbol the player chooses… I would put my 50 in the level 37-39 blue/purple symbol. It was almost sad getting the 40…
