hi guys as you are aware with what happened with halo 5 and how the servers give you a unfair advantage if you live in the USA and play people in Europe or out side ,which I believe that was one of the main reasons why no one in Europe played it and the population declined whist they were slowly discovering that there aim was good but the server was too far away to register it lol. I really really hope 343 and Microsoft are aware of this situation so halo infinite will be popular at launch and will stay populated for years as everyone outside of the USA will have great experience and stay on the game longer as they can be more confident with there shot making the game way more enjoyable for the out side population and in theory if everything else is great about infinite then I can see 343 really succeeding this time round.

Halo 5 uses official Microsoft/Xbox servers that are global. The server issues have only been more of an issue within recent history due to the low player count because the game is old…people didn’t leave because of servers. I’d hardly say this was an issue since launch unless you’re playing with international players in your Fireteam regularly.
As a UK player who knows many many players within the UK/Europe who I’ve played with over the years our population has been pretty strong which goes against what you’re saying.
Halo Infinite is going to be the same. Global Dedicated servers to cater for all regions that support the game.
If for whatever reason you’re matched against players from a different region yes, you’re going to have a less than optimal server connection.
With Infinite also being Free To Play we’ll likely see a higher population so hopefully you’ll have more local regional players too

Only regions affected early was Asia (12 months) & ANZ (18 - 24 months).
The benefit of being in the UK or the US is players have regions clustered around them. Albeit Europe, Canada & Latin America to some extent also have this ability. Oceania as a whole is just so seperated that any online experience offers zero incentive to continue.
Without any population sustainability the sad yet poetic truth is everyone suffers the same fate. It is a matter of when not if.

This isn’t the case for MCC its been fixed will they do the same for halo infinite as they did for MCC where I can select and block certain servers that makes more sense in 2021

That’s a relatively new feature for MCC, the only reason Halo 5 doesn’t have that is because they game isn’t being supported with updates from Devs anymore.
I’m sure Infinite will have something similar

Regional servers would be great, been able to select “Europe” or “USA” and then have the server prioritise games on those servers would make the multiplayer far less laggy and inconsistent for those of us on slow internet. I also think quite a lot of modern games have the functioanlity to select server region so it could potentially be a good method for keeping up with the times.
Can somone explain to me why am i having high ping every Day on halo? The funniest thing is that Whenever i change playlist my ping is better like lets say that on quick play am having 40-50 but when i go to doubles its 70-90 sooo. HELP PLS

Will need to go to Halo Support for fix on that. But I’d assume it is either your ISP or due to Doubles having lower pop that Quick Play you have to go to a sever farther away.
I hope 343 understand that f the servers are anything like halo 5 the only people that will be playing it are connection kids that live near servers all the skill and credibility is obsolete when you have jimmy that used to be a staff captain in halo 3 then turns out to be a champion in halo 5 its actually laughable the game will not survive if it has the same idea on servers that h5 have.
