E3 2018 trailer taking place before the E3 2019 trailer in the story, is that the opening cut scene that we saw in 2019 actually takes place in the middle of the story. I feel like the first half could be the events leading up to Zeta Halo’s destruction and the second half are the events following the opening cut scene. Similar to how the first Dead pool movie laid out its plot but obviously in video game form. For me, it would seem a bit odd coming from Halo 5, to jump into Infinite with the ring already being destroyed for the entire game and it would be interesting plot wise to play through before and after a rings destruction

I don’t know how this would really be executed or if it would even be a good idea but it would be cool to rescue troops and have them be part of your unit and you can call them in and have almost like a strategy element. You can start out at a base with a few pelicans, tell your men to load up and then fly over to a mission or something would be cool. You could call in reinforcements and have your marines be geared up a certain way. Have some ODSTs too who are more rare but much more elite. Almost like Mount and Blade: Bannerlord where you can make a custom army and control them. You could do a chain of command thing where somehow you could tell your squad leaders what they need to get done and their AI is really smart so they can execute the tasks with their squad as part of the mission. That sounds really ambitious and likely wont be in the game but it would be amazing.

This is not just a callback to Halo CE. This is a call back to some of the Earliest design ideas for the Mac Version of Halo. The original game was going to be an open world third person exploration game where you could explore the whole ring however you wanted.
