That would be quite interesting. Might it be single player only and multiplayer focuses to MCC?

Yes it does, but I was wondering that will they “upgrade” MCC, so that it works as a multiplayer platform.

No more than any Halo game has been campaign-focused.
I highly doubt it. Multiplayer has always been the backbone of Halo.
I’m am entirely confident it will have a campaign (who knows if its a traditional Halo campaign) and a multiplayer. It will also have splitscreen.
I don’t know if it is just a rumor, or something more, but I have read online, that a “source” working closely with the project, or 343 studios in general, has said that the single-player and multi-player portions of the game will be split and sold as separate games… Again, I don’t know if it is the truth, or just a rumor someone has started to just muddy the waters, but either way, I think that, rumor or not, it is doing just that…

This was a rumor a year ago, when this thread was created.
frank O’Connor said he was happy with infinite’s MP even tho we haven’t seen it yet. Split screen is already confirmed.
When pigs fly. I personally wouldn’t be too bummed out as we’ll have the entire MCC on PC to enjoy and I am content with those multiplayer experiences. I’m mostly interested in seeing how 343i redeems themselves from Halo 5’s atrocious campaign.
Multiplayer not being present would turn so many away from the game, so no. It wouldn’t make sense.
No way there’s no MP. It would suck if all we had was MCC for the foreseeable future in my opinion.
I seriously don’t know where those cheap -Yoink- rumors come frome, it has never been the case,
that a major Halo game was released without one or another and everyone who’s been in the franchise for
longer than for one game should’ve know this by nature. This isn’t even an option.
