Will Halo Infinite be like a classic Halo?

After seeing the game engine trailer of the next Halo chapter “Halo Infinite” I believe the 343 is going in a whole new/classic direction of the game.
The art style looks so much like a classic Halo. The older helmet/armor of the Master chief. The halo 3 music. The level of detail, the lighting, the depth, the scenery look breathtaking. Do you fellow Spartans think Halo Infinite will be more like a classic Halo?
PS: I read on Chris Lee’s twitter split screen is coming back. Now that is one of the best news i read.

I hope they bring the best from both the new Halo and Classic Halo. 70% from the classic Halo and 30% from Halo 5.
PS: With this era warthog version, I don’t get why they put the petrol tubes in the rear where they are exposed and could explode when under fire?!?!

I prefer and hope so, mainly because I grew up with the classic titles and have been a Halo fanatic from the beginning. I don’t want all the progression to just go away either though. I say if they implement abilities and such in a way that allows classic feel gameplay, but enhances it, I’m all for it. Great example would be the implementation of equipment in Halo 3. It allowed for classic play, but at the same time it added in some abilities. I think it needs to be divided equally as it was with equipment. Where the game can be played with or without it.

Just from this teaser we can see a few things:
Battle Rifle - New Artstyle
Marine Armour - Old artstyle
Pelican - Old Artstyle
Mark 6 armour - Old Artstyle
Warthog - New Artstyle
Forerunner architecture - New Artstyle

My speculation is that is going to be closer to classic but with a mixed of new elements and mechanics to make it to modern standards or expectations.

I really hope soo … I am no Fan of the H5 Abilities ( They are for me extra hard since i am a low sensitivity player ) , by making it classic they could bring back the alienatet part of the community. Halo was always simple in its Core but evrything around it made it what it is and made the skillgap so great. To be honest i never understood why 343 gone down that Route i mean Reach was already a mixed bag , H4 was just bad , and H5 we got abilities again in evry of these 3 games there were lot of people who hate abilites etc … In my opinion Sprint is the only thing that can be ok and only when its limited like reach ( tough i prefer without ) but bash , groundpound and espacialy thrusters need to go in my opinion.

HOWEVER forunner structures… i really really dont like the way they went with those in halo 4 and 5. all the forunner structures in those two games didnt look old, rundown, being taken over by nature, despite them being however old they are. it kind of took away from the mystery of the forunners i felt.

I actually appreciate the new forerunner designs more than the old ones. More so Halo 4 than Halo 5. It makes the forerunners really seem advanced beyond comprehension. But hey everyone will like different things.

I’d say they’re going to tone quite a few things back to the classic Halo style but they’ll also keep/add new things too. Gaming has changed since classic Halo and if they went back 100% classic - in my opinion - they’d lose too many people.

If they don’t revert back to what most of us Halo fans want, then they are truly lost. You can tell the sentiment on their own damn forums people don’t want…whatever it is they have been giving us since Halo 4. We want Halo 3 esque gameplay etc.

I will honestly be in disbelief if they put out another COD clone, like in complete disbelief. It’s like they want Halo to be DAD

Having a low sensitivity doesn’t make halo 5 any any harder than useing a fast ssens I play on 2 sens and 2 look accel and I’m getting by just fine
Also arguably the best halo 5 player shotzzy plays on 1 look and 5 accel and most likely halo infinite will keep halo 5 gameplay because it is arguably the best multiplayer in a halo game. But I’m in agreement with you ground pound is fine but spartan charge is in a weird spot it’s just too strong I say have it take either half shield or 3/4 of the shield away because it has knockback unlike the pumble and when your hit with it it’s hard to pumble back it’s basically a free kill now

not every one wants the classic gameplay back but I will agree with you classic gameplay needs a play list or two. I wouldn’t say halo 5 is a cod clone it has way more depth than any cod game ever made period

The ground pound is also useful for movement, I am neutral for it to go. , thrusters are a good escape while strafing, its a talent to now how to use them and still hit a head shot on a player trusting, I prefer it to stay.
Spartan charge needs to go, there absolutely no skill needed there, I hate it.

I don’t know but i hope it’s gonna be like classic halo’s.

I agree with you completely but I feel as though spartan charge is a good movement machanic and needs a major nerf to damage I say 50 shield with knock back that is balanced you should only spartan charge when someone is running away and you can get assassination or something

I just know they’re heavily teasing it to be with a trailer like that.

From the looks of the trailer and the halo ring that they are on, it definitely seems like it and it looks good!

I hope there’s a lot more inspiration from classic Halo in the games, from gameplay to music to storytelling.

Gameplay wise I would love to simply have some kind of standing ‘dodge’ that is similar to thruster, and a clamber system that simply pops you up if you don’t quite make a ledge, but doesn’t use a button - the rest of the spartan abilities are unnecessary I think and should be removed to refine the gameplay.

Perfection is attained not when you have nothing left to add, but when you have nothing left to take away.

Game design is an inherently iterative process and I think 343i are about to strike gold - a mature team, an engine they can call their own and 6 years of relentless feedback and improvements based on that feedback.

The Rings are aligning, consider me extremely hopeful.

I think they are tacking mainly a classic direction, with just a fey elements from the new Halo games. The game needs a classic feel to get rebooted and get the glorry it had its high days, like diring H3.
