So, you’ve probably heard about the big news. The position for Narrative Director has opened up and Brian Reed is seemingly gone from 343. Many people believe (I was also) that Halo Wars 2 came out this year and Halo 6 would come out next year. However, now I don’t know if this is the case. The Narrative Director (pretty much Kevin Feige for Halo) needs to be filled and someone will have to come in to write the script for Halo 6. With this big re-arranging going on, I don’t think Halo 6 will come out next year, but rather 2019. I think for next year, we’ll get Halo 3 Anniversary which they probably weren’t originally going to make. I don’t know who they’ll get for Narrative Director but I think for lead writer on Halo 6, the best choice is Kevin Grace. He did an excellent job on Halo Wars 2, and think he’d do an excellent job here. I think they’ve got to get these 2 massively important positions filled. Personally, I’m fine holding off the game if a right lead writer is chosen and the right person can ensure awesome future Halo canon material and Halo 6 as best as possible. What do you think?
I don’t think Microsoft will delay H6. More likely than not we’ll get a rushed story that somehow ties stuff together and call it a game.

won’t be shocked if they DO push it back.
I doubt it will, but you never know. I would certainly be okay with it, it gives them more time to develop and polish the game. And, to be quite honest, I think the industry as a whole is a bit fatigued when it comes to Halo. I think an extra year without the franchise would do some good. Then once they bring it back, there will be more hype. Similar to Star Wars (although it was ten years between installments, not four years).
I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt to pros-pone it, we may have a Halo 3 Anniversary to keep us preoccupied.
