I think we all agree that Halo 5 really let us down. I’m under the impression Halo 5 was rewritten pretty late into the game, and that’s why alot of the story suffered. I think now that Halo 5 is done, they’re of course working on Halo 6 right now. My question is, do you think Halo 6 will be better than Halo 5 story wise? I think, even if it was rewritten, Halo 5 had some interesting ideas that they couldn’t flesh out. I don’t wanna say the person’s name, but I don’t think he should come back to writing the script. Do you think if Halo 6 is able to be written without any major changes that might’ve happened with Halo 5, do you think we could get an improvement?
From this article, it seems they’re gonna be focusing on the story more in Halo 6 than they did with Guardians 
Well in 6 were sure to get some Arbiter and chief missions together. So that’s already got me excited with speculation. Also Halsey meeting chief again since Reach! I’m excited to see how that plays out.
Alot off good story telling elements are set up hopefully 343 Handel’s it better than 5
5 had a good story. All the ingredients were there to maybe even be the best. But just wasn’t put together right so it came out wrong. Only good missions were the Sangilios missions. Others I hardly re play.
Hopefully they let us play as chief more.

Agreed, I really hope it deals with John coming to terms with the fact that they have to kill Cortana. First he thought she was dead, then she comes back but evil, now they have to destroy her. Won’t be surprised if he’s the one to kill her.
Yeah someone posted this article in the General forums today as well and as I said there, if they can keep MS from micromanaging the project and if they can keep the current writing staff a million miles away from it, sure maybe the story has a chance to not suck. Even with the direction they’ve taken the plot, there are creative and interesting things they could still do with it.
None of them will remove the pile of crap off of Cortana’s legacy, however.
And I’m afraid I don’t believe a word Frankie says anymore anyway, so the article means nothing to me from that perspective.
And what are the chances of the two conditions I listed happening anyway.
It’ll only be better as we won’t be expecting a good plot this time.
H5 had amazing potential and dashed it all. H6 just has to make the mess of h5 better.

Guardians flat out wreck the setting. Fighting them on foot is pretty impossible and they can emp an entire planet Ina minute. The enemies exist in what is literally the heaven of the halo universe.
The amount of mcguffin they’re going to need to make this a good shooter game is going to be nuts.
