The first time we ever got the name for Halo 5, which was also when we all learned about Locke, was early 2014. 343 had released this picture on what appears to have been May 16, just a month from E3. While February is still a ways away from E3, there were no big Halo events going at the beginning of 2014. However, this year is already kicking off with a Halo event, Halo Wars 2 Live
So what I’m wondering is: will 343 reveal the name of the next main title during the Halo Wars 2 Live? If they follow the same path they took with Halo 5’s official announcement (not the cloaked Chief trailer), which was revealing it before teasing it at E3, then it is certainly possible that we are about to find out what Halo 6 will be called, and maybe even get a picture like the one in the link above that spawned all sorts of debate as to who Locke was before we knew him as Locke. I’m doubtful we’d get a teaser trailer since E3 will be only a few months away when the event happens, but here’s to hoping
On a side note: when I say “announced,” I mean it as 343 giving us the name of the game. I already know Halo 6 was “announced” when they first told us about the Reclaimer trilogy/saga. I feel like I have to say this because someone is bound to say that it was already announced years ago

Let’s hope it will be a 2019 game… Dont want one more Halo where I have to pay the full price for the half content at release and getting the rest “free” over months… No just 2019 with a good Story, halo 4 and 5 were so badly, filled with content and a Halo Multiplayer and not a CoD twitch shooter… And with way more place for the casualbase (Halo ESL is like esport in nearly every game just a little minority).

If that where other games they’d force you to buy it and it was free for Halo 5. But this is not the place to discuss it.

2019 I think would be a mistake unless h3a actually does happen…they won’t continue supporting halo 5 for another year and a half,and even if they do this game is falling consistently
Doubtful. At most they might give a tease of what will be announced at E3; and that’s presuming anything will be announced.
I would say no, I think Halo will follow the normal advertising methods and come out with a teaser trailer at the E3 1 year before the game is released. So if Halo 6 is coming out 2018, then I suspect a teaser trailer this year at E3 then a campaign or more revealing trailer at E3 2018.

I mean, no. Besides the fact that Halo Wars 2 Live is focused entirely on HALO WARS 2, Halo 6 is something that would be announced at E3 this year.
Highly unlikely. E3 is the biggest con every year to reveal the next hits and tech.
It would be counter productive, to announce another AAA title in the flagship franchise, at a live event. The E3 microsoft press conference, is where the sales begin!
I imagine they would announce it at E3 if anything they would announce another halo 5 dlc at the end of it

I can image that it would help rack up sales for it
God I hope not! Focus on this game and THAN make Halo 6, haha! Sorry I just want to have this toast while I can, I understand there are a lot of FPS halo fans out there who are disappointed about this but COME ON guys, lemme just have this one moment, haha!

If that happens and it’s only playable on the scorpio,that means halo 5 would be the last mainline halo game I bought.I’m not buying another console just to play a halo game…fooled me with mcc and halo 5 and I’m not falling for that again

The game is finished already, plus they’ve been working on Halo 6 since probably before 5 even released
