Halo 5 is a dead game already. I am a regular halo 5 and it takes so long to find a match. Once halo infinite comes out halo 5 will be forgotten . People will split some going to mcc and some moving to infinte. HALO 5 WILL DIE !

It definitely doesn’t take me long to find a match at all. As with every Halo game, there will still be players playing Halo 5: Guardians after Halo: Infinite releases.
It’s not dead and I’m sure it will still be played.

it takes you a long amount of time now but when hlo infinite comes out which has been rumoured to have a free to play multiplayer the game will die out

Again, it doesn’t take me long at all to find a match. And, again, as with every other Halo game, Halo 5: Guardians will still have people playing it to get to SR152.

Not everyone who plays Halo 5 will be straight on to Infinite upon release. Probably see people stick around til Christmas or a sale.
I have long wait times as well. Except for warzone ff, I can always find matches. When I search arena during the day I get games but do wait a few mins between matches. When I search arena past midnight CT I cant get games, left it sitting an hour once with no match and gave up on late night arena. I think this game is going to die out after Infinite. I will also add even at ungodly hours I find MCC games with ease.

Completely agree with you Don. A running theme with the release of a new Halo game is that you get the ‘Christmas Noobs’ who have only just got the game and possibly playing the previous title.

Double xp should have stayed. That was a reason for alot of us to actually play h5 again.

That isn’t confirmed information. Though if it were true I am sure that would convince a lot of people to come over to Infinite much sooner.

Game is far from dead.
I wouldn’t call the game dead but I wouldn’t say it’s where it should be in terms of population. If we go by what Xbox Live most played games, Halo 5 isn’t so far ahead of Black Ops 2.
I mean even Halo 3 is being played to this day so I think Halo 5 will continue for a bit longer. And honestly it takes me like 10 seconds to find a match these days
Zero trouble finding games, but probably depends on the playlist I suppose.
Either way, the game doesn’t seem dead to me.
I still play Halo 5 and rarely struggle finding players.
Halo 5 will still be played a lot after infinite is released, a lot of people won’t buy infinite right when it’s released and they’ll still play halo 5, plus look at reach people are still playing. Halo 5 might not have as many players when infinite is released, but after a couple months after it’s release halo 5 will probably be played just as much as it is now.
People were still playing Reach and refused to play 4 when it came out, darn luddites.
I used to love H5 for many years, but at this point I’m just playing it to get to 152. I honestly don’t see myself playing H5 after Infinite. But that’s just me.
I still find matches reasonably quickly even with the filter on. Halo 5’s multiplayer was built to cater sweats, so they will always be there, not to mention the obligatory clan kids, and the other poor souls grinding to 152.
The population will likely drop when Infinite releases, but it’ll probably be the same situation as 360 Reach where there’s a decent chunk of players who stay behind. I don’t think you need to worry about the game dying quite yet; however, there will inevitably come a day when the servers are retired.
