Will Halo 5’s population die after Halo 6?

I love Halo 5, but hopefully Halo 6 is going to be superior. (I call it 6 because I disagree with Infinite).

This concerns me though because obviously all my forge maps aren’t going to just transfer to Halo 6. Hopefully 6 will have an even superior forge (with AI too please) and I can create new stuff there. But with 5, who will be left to play customs when 6 will dominate? What will happen to 5’s population. I fear it will erade.

Edit: This will also cause problems for matchmaking as H5 does not have any player counts. Already if you select some gametypes you won’t find a match. Warzone Assault and Big Team Battle are the biggest victims of this.

Dunno how the clans will deal with H5 either.

Most likely you’ll get a few stragglers,but a majority will move on to infinite or a new game altogether

It will definitely died yes. Sure, they’ll be a few people around, there generally always is.

As far as your forge maps go, who knows, maybe they’ll be a feature that let’s you transfer them over.

Possibly yes every new halo game the game Will get more popular but population for halo 5 will go down.

The population is extremely small as of now, so I don’t see how it won’t be dead after Infinite releases.

I loved Warzone Assault. To see it basically dead after not playing Halo 5 for quite some time was very sad.

Yes, for sure. Unless the sweaty warzone players miss the gametype or something. But my guess is, no.

It won’t necessarily be “dead”. There will always be some who still play but majority would have moved on to Infinite or other games.

343i will probably have taken the feedback into consideration for this game and if it is true then I think halo 5 being dead will happen 100%.

What will likely happen is what happened to grifball they turned it into a rotational playlist. This they say bolsters the counts on other playlists as we (me) are obviously Halo addicts and and don’t quit playing at the loss of a favorite playlist. But it will happen on a larger scale as the bottle neck the game forcing all players into less playlists to make at least a few things more viable.

Oh yeah, Atleast 80, maybe 90% of it will. A number of the people on there now I think only stick to halo 5 because it’s the newer game so you can count that chunk out, plus a lot of the people who like h5 will leave if they prefer infinite. If infinite is mediocre or if it’s extremely different in terms of gameplay (hopefully) then the h5 population might grow back a little bit once h5 fans have had a chance to play infinite but not back up to what it is now.

Just look at Halo 4 now. You can only find games in a couple of the most popular playlists, but the majority of people have moved on to other games. This is likely what will happen to Halo 5. I think Warzone and Super Fiesta will retain a decent population (at least enough that you can find a game), but a lot of other playlists will have enormous search times or not even enough players to even start a match.

Probably Halo 5’s population will take a heavy hit when Halo Infinite releases. The only ones that’ll remain are probably the most dedicated types, sweaties and 100% completionists.
