Will Halo 5 Makes Us Turn Against Chief?

I have a feeling 343 will somehow make us start to side with Locke. Think about it, Locke is not a bad guy. He is on a mission to recover a rogue soldier who is disobeying. But who knows man, what if the UNSC has gone all -Yoink!- Germany on us?!?!

No I do not think that will happen.

I said this in another post but ill post it here as well:

“I could actually imagine the Chief trying to collapse ONI and take down the heads of all the liars and corrupted officials. He joins the insurrection as thier leader convinces the Arbiter and some of the UNSC to join his cause and goes to war against the Spartan fours and take down ONI… Though then again this is just one of my theories”

That sounds pretty crazy, maybe a bit farfetched, but still a good theory.

Well like most people are saying, Locke is going to be the new face of Halo one day. I mean I’m team chief all the way, but still. Even Blue team are suspicious about him, and he grew up with those guys.

I think it is more likely that Chief is fighting for a good cause, and maybe Locke and his team will eventually join him or convince ONI that Chief is still fighting for humanity.

It’s a good one, yes. Hopefully this could happen. I’ve shadowed myself from all the spoiler filled walkthroughs on YouTube.

Yeah let’s hope John 117 knows something that the UNSC does not and he is going to yet again, save the world.

The story plotline might turn one of the playable characters against Chief, but they’ll never turn ME against him.

Absolutely think it’s brilliant what 343 has done with Halo 5 to make us confused on which side to stand by. but I feel as if it’ll just be down to preference with which side to take. I’d assume Master-Chief would inform Locke on what and why Chief is doing whatever he is doing.

More than likely, ONI will attempt to demonize him in the games, making the hunt for him more emotional.

Hey guys, I also created a Spartan Co. Called DevouR Gaming. If you’d like to join, reply to this https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/504760bd1678460abcc89e5f5e1ad7a1/topics/devour-gaming-open-recruits/03d4fb25-1681-430e-a60b-c55dd13fe31b/posts?page=1

That way, MP could become an actual battle. Not just a training match. Some Spartan IVs would split off and join chief while others would remain loyal, creating a massive civil war. It probably won’t ever happen, but still a cool idea.

I will never goes against the chief he has his reason for disobeying orders against oni

Probably not. He’s saved the universe many times.

I’m not so sure. The Insurrection seems to hate the Master Chief in Hunt the Truth (he killed and captured large number of their agents). Furthermore, I’m not really sure Chief would allign himself with a “freedom” fighting group that has a unfortunate tendency to co-operate with the covenant (Cole Protocol) or utilize suicide bombing of civilian locations (Contact Harvest).

Also, why are people so convinced the Spartan IV’s are “evil” and prefer ONI over the UNSC? You realize that Master Chief and Blue Team are basically viewed as demi-gods by that service, right? Buck’s comment in the Halo 5 trailer seems to indicate that Osiris would be treated as Pariahs by the military by hunting the Chief. ONI would have a hard time convincing Spartans to fight the most famous one of all.

it better not happen

I don’t think it will, I think if anything we’ll be supporting Chief a whole lot more.

No one is saying that, they are theorizing it based off baseless conspiracy theories. Blue team isn’t suspicious about the Chief, Fred is the only one who is worried not suspicious based on the 1 cinematic we saw.
