Will Halo 5 have dedicated servers?

Is Halo 5 gonna have dedicated servers? I read somewhere that it’s gonna have them, I just want to be 100% sure.

Yep, Halo 5 will have dedicated servers for all aspects of the matchmaking and custom games :slight_smile:

Yes. Everything runs on dedicated servers except for single-player (non co-op) campaign.

Dedicated servers and 60fps were the first things 343i promised when Halo 5 was announced :slight_smile:
Then again, MCC was supposed to have dedicated servers too, and ended up with peer to peer. 5 will likely have them though.

Right, but we won’t know until Forge is out of course.
However, since it’s supposed to use the Cloud and other technologies, I think it seems likely Forge will use them regardless if it’s just you or not, but we’ll see in December. :slight_smile:

I know they said Halo MCC would have them, but I always kept lagging.
