As the title says will there be a MLG playlist in Halo 5? I don’t want to be forced to use the AR, Scattershot…etc I want BR starts 
Possibly later on.
Doubt it since the pro players who get payed to be damn good at this game have already decided that AR starts are more fun and promote more map movement and control.
E-sports is going to use AR/Magnum starts. There will still likely be a BR starts playlist.

People need to get over Br starts. Pistol starts are just as good. The pistol is a great utility weapon in Halo 5.
Actually the questions are:
Will MLG decide to repick up Halo?
Will MLG need to pay a royalty fee for platform use this time 'round?
Will MLG decide on BR only or BR/M6 starts?
Will MLG decide to use any Spartan Abilities?
Will MLG: Halo5 be popular enough to warrant putting it online beside the HCS?
if there is an MLG style playlist I hope it doesn’t take over all competitive play and is completely separate. I quite happy with the version that is in there now for HCS and esport matches, making play and spectating more exciting with lively matches.
The only reason there was even BR starts to begin with was because in Halo 2 and 3, the BR was the only weapon that was actually useful. Whereas now in Halo 5, every weapon is decent.

MLG has already been confirmed to be hosting HCS events
Also Magnum starts is the best as it most competitive and skill based. BR’s and DMR’s are still available as pickups on map if needed
