Global Battles were scrapped from Halo 3, probably due to hardware limits. But the Xbox One is more powerful, so I’m sure it can pull off real time global battles (rather than what CoD does and have scripted explosions and events, Halo is guilty of this too by having shoot outs in the air or land in the distance or sky and are simply pre done animations).
I’m sure the Xbox One is powerful enough to pull it off.
Halo 5 is aiming to be bigger and grand scale, so I wonder if they will take Halo 3’s big vehicle battles to the next level? Two Scarabs? Hah more like two Promethean War Sphinxes!
I think it will. It gives me hope that there was a working concept of this clear back during Halo 3. No doubt the new hardware (and yes, possibly even the cloud) could assist in some way to make this a reality.

As much as id like this mode to be in Halo 5 G considering how they coudnt even and still cant even code HALO MCC right I doubt this will be in Halo 5 G . I hope 343 proves me wrong but I doubt they will…

The master chief collection was a Frankenstein project. They took 2 generation of games built for 2 different specific structures of hardware and tried to blend the seamlessly into one package on essentially a brand new platform. Thats hard for even a veteran company like 343. Besides i would rather their focus be on halo 5 than the mcc. Or you know they could release that broken too.
I saw this video some time ago. The Xbox One is much more capable to handle this type of gameplay. The levels can still be linear, but be so large that they don’t feel linear.
