I believe that yes, it will end on a cliffhanger but not a abrupt as Halo 2. Frankie said he hopes we’re shocked by the direction the game takes, then I think it’ll end. Also, maybe an extra little cliffhanger post credits.
Sorta. For all that I’ve seen on the excitement metre, I suspect it’s all for a rather Empire Strikes Back tone for the last act at least.
Definitely a “… To be continued.” but I don’t believe as sharp a cliff as Halo2 was.
Yes it will
Probably. The rule of thumb for trilogies is that the second is to be the darkest installment. The heroes find themselves up against the wall on the precipice of defeat at the hands of the antagonist and have only a vague glimmer of hope as to victory. Take TESB for example. The rebels were still scattered, Han Solo had been captured, Luke just barely escaped a duel with Darth Vader that he lost, and the empire was still thoroughly busy building a new death star.
I’m predicting that blue team bites the dust to be replaced by part of Osiris and maybe the Arbiter. Of course, that depends on whether the four man squad formula is successful; if the world collectively poops in 343’s ears over that, they’ll probably go back to the one man army style of the previous Halo titles and nullify my prediction.

i expecting part of osiris and part of blue bite the dust due to some forerunner (cough didact cough) so the two teams regroup together for halo 6
If Linda dies, I quit.
Yes, I want it to end similar to Halo 2 or 3’s ending I want Halo 5s ending to have an awesome end level. Like a traditional warthog escape and remade Warthog Run Soundtrack. That would be awesome.
Of course, how else will they make H6
