Will Halo 4 on XbOne Kill Halo 4 360?

Since Halo 4’s population dropped massively from 2012 to 2013, and with TMCC coming in November, and with the population no larger than 10,000, will Halo 4 on Xbox One kill the 360 version of Halo 4’s population?

Doubtful. A lot of people will just be happy playing Halo 4 as is on the Xbox 360.

It will drop a fair bit as most games do when the next title in the franchise comes out but it should hold its own.

The population on Halo 4 manages to maintain just above 15k at peak times.

Really? I used to see BTB with almost 10,000 players, but not the most I see is about 8,000 since TS have usually 3,000 and BTB has about 4,500, and Flood have about 1,000, and the rest I see are just triple-digits.

Probably not, Halo 4 - while not the most popular game in the series still manages to hold it’s own on a day to day basis. It’ll probably have a 2-3k drop on the first day but it should balance out after a while depending on how the MCC is received.

You see a lot of people comparing the populations of Halo Reach and Halo 4. But these people fail to understand that Reach’s population counter takes into account all online modes (campaign, matchmaking and Firefight), whereas Halo 4 only shows Wargames and no other modes. There are many people play Halo 4’s campaign when not in multiplayer (trying for achievements, LASO runs etc) and these people don’t get included in the online population counter unlike with Halo Reach.

I don’t know when I get my Xbox 1 for the MCC im doubtful I will return to the 360 for halo. Why would I when its all right there with DDS? just the DDS alone will make a huge difference in MM on the XB1. Enough for me and Im sure many other to say buh by to the 360
