Will halo 4 have a short campaign?

Hi, im new here and i was wondering

does anyone else worry halo 4 will have a short campaign? How would they have so much time to work on spartan ops if it was a long and well thought out campaign? or does this mean spartan ops will be lazily made and suck? who knows

I don’t remember the source, but I swear i’ve heard that H4 will have the longest campaign in the entire Halo franchise. Not promising anything, but if that’s true, i’ll be one happy man. And even if it’s too short, we’ll still have 50 spartan ops missions to make up for it :smiley:

I am in to halo for the amazing storyline, I am very worried that 343 may not pull through…But, seeing as they say they are focusing on “canon” it should be really awesome…I dont know, I really hope.

I believe it’s Frank O’Connor who said H4 would have the longuest campain of all Halo games. Sorry, no link to back my words but i’m 99% he said that a couple of monts ago.

Im guessing Halo 4’s campaign should be 6+ hours so it shouldn’t be short at all. It seems like 343 has both the campaign and Spartan Ops planned out well, so they both should be good.

Being that there are 300+ people working on Halo 4 on a whole (the most ever to work on a halo game)I would guess that the campaign and everything else will not be sloppy disappointing.

EDIT: I forgot to mention they have been working on it for over 3 years.

There’re fifty free Spartan Ops missions. Not all of them are finished yet because they’ve been spending their time doing other stuff.

Also the game is being worked on for over 3.5 years so that’s where they get their time from to work on the campaign. I’m sure it will be as long, if not longer, than Halo 3’s. :slight_smile:

games like l4d have proven that quantity (or in this case length) is not nearly as important as quality.

If it’s better than Halo 3’s or anywhere near the first three games, I’ll be over-satisfied. :smiley:

Im glad to see so many people saying they saw it was confirmed to be the longest Halo game to date. I wish you guys had proof but I will take your word for it :slight_smile: Halo 2’s campaign was pretty long, i think like 14 or 15 missions. Im hoping this new trilogy is about 15 missions per campaign… that would be just great.

I really can’t wait for it.

It’s been stated that Halo 4’s campaign will be the longest to date. On top of that you have an extra 12 hours of Spartan-Ops, and that’s just season 1 of Spartan-Ops! They had a lot of time to work on the campaign because Halo 4 has been in production for three years. I’m certain we will not get a half–Yoinked!- game :slight_smile:

One part i am very excited for in the campaign is the interaction between the chief and spartan 4s. I think spartan 4s will either be very respectful or very cocky. there should be a scene where one spartan 4 challenges chief and gets whupped.

I know its kinda cheesy but it will show everyone once again that chief is the best!

Halo 2’s campaign missions were much shorter though. It was about the same length as the others.

And yes, I would like a source about Halo 4’s campaign being ‘the longest campaign of them all’. Thank you. :slight_smile:

But seriously though, I’d be very surprised if Halo 4 didn’t have a lengthy campaign. They’ve been working on it for over three and a half years with a team of very talented people that’s now over 250 men/women strong. It should be long and excellent.
