For some reason, 343i has not said a thing so far about the halo 4 beta, if there will ever be one, I would like to stress that it is VERY important for a popular game to have a beta, so before the actual game launches, the company can fix all the errors and glitches. Bungie had done this but will 343i follow up? Look at games like cod, which don’t release betas, and have tons of things to fix when the game come out. The halo 3 beta was announced a year before the game came out, and was playable 4 months before halo 3 came out. The exact same thing with reach, we should be hearing news for a beta in the next 1 or 2 months, if not, I’m worried.
I find it weird that they haven’t announced a BETA yet if there will be one.
Halo Reach for example, announced the BETA in the FIRST EVER trailer.
Technically all games have a beta, it’s just a question if it will be in house, closed, or a public beta.
If they decide to do a public beta, Frankie said it would be easily accessibly to the fans. We just have to wait and see.

I concur, 9 months is too long of a wait to have no clue what the multiplayer atmosphere will be like.

Easily accessible enough to be included in Reach? Although wouldn’t think microsoft game studios would pass the opportunity to make A LOT of money considering the hype.

You should try one of the other many amazing games out there : Skyrim, dark souls, gears 3, Uncharted 3, etc.
And yeah it is weird that we still have no info. release on the beta.

343i seem to be releasing bit by bit, nothing major, especially in terms of storyline.

A beta announcement is coming probably in march.
Beta around May/March I reckon. Or maybe just a demo, nearer release time.

343i hasn’t even talked about any new information for Halo 4, it’s still early for them to be talking about a beta.

So what you’re saying is that in your mind, 343i doesn’t do these in house testing and the only way to fix bugs and glitches is to release a beta? 343i has in house Alpha, Beta, and Gamma, testing, to iron out all of the bugs and glitches that they can find before release, all game developers do this.

We don’t know, but 343i shouldn’t have to follow Bungie’s foot steps and do the same thing Bungie has done in the past.

Games like COD, which don’t release PUBLIC betas have tons of things to fix because some of those bugs and glitches go unnoticed until after release, Reach and Halo 3 had the same issues. Also, there are games that don’t release PUBLIC betas that don’t have a ton of issues like COD. Like Half Life 2, Mass Effect, Dues EX HR, Saints Row The Third, Portal, Sims, Spore, Left 4 Dead, Halo CE, and Halo CEA, Halo ODST.
All game Developers hold in house testing, that do more than just play the game and test the game’s balance, they also test for bugs and glitches. 343i doesn’t HAVE to release a Halo 4 Beta in order for it to not be full of bugs and glitches.
Also, I know about the super bounce glitch in Halo 2, that was not because Bungie didn’t release a public beta, it was because it was either not seen before, or because Bungie was under a lot of stress of releasing their game.
I find it odd that they have not announced a beta, maybe they’re trying to hint to us there won’t be a beta

Fankie said on the Halo 4 panal at PAX last year that there will be a beta and it will be open to the public. He didn’t say when it will be because they had not established a date yet and as far as we know they still haven’t.

He never said they were having a BETA not once. I’m not sure how you thought he said that, but he didn’t. All he said was if, IF they’re gonna have a BETA it would be easy to access(open to the public). He never said yep there is gonna be a BETA, but were not telling you when at the moment.
