Does anyone know?
Well it has over 50,000 votes on the xbox backwards compatibility programme -here-. I would love all the game to be backwards compatible, though considering we have the MCC it’s looked over. However there are differences between the games, e.g. skins, abilities. We can only dream I guess.

I don’t think it will be because of the MCC. Bringing it to the xbox 1 will just make the player count for MCC smaller and it is already pretty small.

How do you know the player base is small though. Whenever I go on I always tend to find matches in a good time. Halo 4 has more votes than Halo 3, which is most odd as I would have thought it would have been the other way round. I think if it does go backwards compatible the population of 4 would rocket upwards.
I wish it would. I loved my spartan on it, hence why it’s my profile pic. Plus, even for all of its faults, I found spartan ops to be quite fun as long as others were there. mcc denies this since you can’t find randoms.

I have to agree, I have halo 4, and have played h4 in mcc with my friend Brandon13113, and there are differences. Most of them bad. Sadly, there won’t be a chance tha it will be backwards compatible.

It’s still possible. It’s in the top 6 for highest votes back compatibility. Plus, look at assassin’s creed II. That was back compat before Ezio collection. I know it was before but it proves that we can have the original and newer versions at the same time.
And castle crashers original arrived after cc remastered. H4 is a long shot but can still be hit
I’ve been hoping for this for the longest time, it’s not likely though. 343 will seemingly stick it out through the Master Chief Collection.
I hope it does become compatible so people on the Xbox one won’t need to buy the mastercheif collection just to play it.
